Thanks Jo! Yea... I was just getting a crown, so it was more of a cosmetic thing. I've been wearing a temporary one for about two weeks and I wasn't supposed to go back until Nov 11, but the real one came in early and they called me so I decided to go early and get it over with... But... I'm all better now and I can smile real purty! ;D

I am a bit apprehensive about taking my oldest because he is autistic and HATES getting his teeth brushed. That's so odd, 2 people also have autistic relatives! My brother is also autistic, but he's extremely high functioning, and works at an airport (he's an airplane guy I actually enjoy going to the dentist, get's me away from school, hehe MMG

*narrows eyes* You're strange! You've obviously either never had any painful work done at the dentist or.... you LIKE pain! hehe

I've never had any bad experiences with the dentist... the most painful was getting my teeth whitened with the UVA light... it really hurt.

Well, you guys are young. You know... I never even went to a dentist for ANYTHING until I was 20! Never had any tooth pain or cavities. Went for my first checkup when I was 20, got a tooth filled and... bam... the darn thing broke off went I was eating and I had to get a crown! Same thing happened to the other side too... I was FINE until I went to the stupid dentist!

My best friend has already had a ROOT CANAL. She had it years ago, when she was a lot younger. I thought that was crazy. She's really upset about getting her wisdom teeth out, now, though. Hehehehehe, I don't have ANY wisdom teeth... so I wouldn't know. My brother had five... I don't know why I was so lucky.

Then I had my kids and kaboom my teeth basically are shot now. Nothing compares to an abscess with a dead nerve like I had a few months ago. posterior Back ache labour felt better!

Me, you might ask.
I've been going to the dentist since I can remember, so I beat no one's record . I've had two cavities and one pulled. I'm getting braces next year, and all I have to say about that is: AAAAAHHHHH!!

Eww... braces. I had those. Good Luck. I had mine for three years. Got them when I was 10 and I got them off when I was 13, it was a little over 3 years. My cousin is 19 (almost 20) and got hers in middle school... she still has them. But she had some major tooth problems. I hope this isn't scaring you... ! Think of it this way- the sooner it happens, the sooner you have pretty, straight teeth. It's totally worth it. Before my braces, I could stick a whole toothpick between my two front teeth.

Yep, braces are totally worth it! I never had them. I have naturally straight teeth, but both my daughters had them and now their teeth are gorgeous! Oooh Jo.. *cringe* that sounds absolutely horrifying! Elyse, don't laugh too hard yet... you just haven't had them come in yet, but unless you're a miracle child... they WILL! Mine didn't even start to come in until my early twentys. Sure enough, they got impacted and had to be pulled! Not.... fun!

Also it happened on the weekend! And the dentist office wasn't answering. Luckly we knew a relitive and he rang some numbers including the dentists mother And they guy drove out at 6.30 pm Sunday night to do my tooth and didn't charge extra. I have never been so happy to open my mouth for the dentist!
