What's your grandmother's computer like?

Ohmigosh, this may turn into a rant, so read with caution!!!
Okay, my grandmother (dad's side of the family) got a new computer for her house. I was on it a while back, and it's pretty awesome....AWESOME I TELL YOU!!! Anyway, I noticed their lack of icons, and proper internet... Right now, for my Uncle Dave (the only one who uses it) has turned it into a thousand dollar game of solitare, plus an email checker. This cracked me up! ;D So, my question is, what is/was your grandmother/grandfather/mom/dad's computer like?

I do not have a grandmother! but my moms PC is tragic!

Tragic means bad. My parents are 80, they don't own nor would want a computer! My daughter has my old computer, which I am still waiting on DH to finish up cleaning! So her's is old but ok for kid type games.

Computer? My grandmother calls it "You mean dat TV ting?" lol, she also calls it "'Puter"

That tv thing? lol I call mine Puter sometimes.
Yeah, 80 year olds don't really enjoy playing the sims, I don't think.

Lol a lot of people don't even realize a lot of us 40+ play the sims! But we were the generation that actually got the computers!

Well, my grandparents and my dad have all gone to the 'great beyond'. But... my mom is still alive and kicking and can't even work a mouse! My mom has trouble working her TV remote sometimes, so I could not see her even learning how to use a computer.

If Tina saw all my Icons, she'd drive all the way to Georgia just to kick my ...! I have folders full plus half my screen! I guess it's time to clean it up!

Lynda, my friend's parent's computer is filled like 5/6 of the way, there is no background!

My grandma's computer is ehh. It runs okay, but she hates me touching it. My sister got a virus on her computer a few years back.

Now my grandpa, he has some pretty cool laptop. He has no idea how to work it though.

My grandparents both have really nice computers, my grandpa's a total computer whiz with programming and radios and stuff like that. And my grandma has the exact same computer I'm on currently, a little IBM with a somewhat ok graphics card and a DVD drive.

Well my grandparents are no longer alive, but my parents are in their seventies and have an awesome computer. My dad does a lot of photo stuff and loves to play RTS (real time strategy) My mom likes pinball and solitaire, so has been relegated to their old puter. They don't have internet at home but my dad does a lot of stuff down at his local internet cafe. Yay! Technosavvy elders. They actually use the features on their mobile phones too.

LOL my Grandma saw me playing the sims and it was the funniest thing to her she was like, "Well Lord, lil people livin' in da puter nah!" Then she sat for like an hour trying to understand the game, laughing none stop
