So I was half way through my post on Blyth and Fuzzy's wedding and it decided to stop working. It wont even come back because it wasn't a draft. (sometimes drafts come back) Oh no it was one of those posts that accidentally post themselves so all that is saved is the first picture. So it's classed as an 'edit post' not a draft. Other pages won't load either, yet it loads here! So much for having that up today.

Well that bites! Although, it seems you got it up anyway because I read it. It was great!

You know I started working on that LJ post at about 7.30am and didn't get it posted until about 4pm. It was a right pain the whole way through. I don't know if there is an easier way to do it, but each picture takes me awhile to find, then about 5 or so disappeared. (LJ seems to be very touchy as to where you click.) I only wanted to move a pic up next to the text only to have it vanish. I would of been able to get that half back that I lost if it hadn't already accidentally saved after I put on the first picture. Oh yeah and when I checked it one picture was saying 'moved or deleted' Luckily that fixed up easily. It seems just as much trouble as the exchange!

There's an easier way to do it, but you have to use html form. You go on photobucket, copy the direct link for the picture. And you type <img src="picture link here">

I was looking on LJ at a thread on how to post stories there. It made me want to cry. I have no idea what any of that stuff means. It seems I may have to learn it, though, because for the 4th day in a row, the exchange isn't letting me upload fixes to my story chapters. It gives an error code 5 almost immediately when you click the upload button. (I completely turned the firewall off, so it can't be on my end)

Man, that sucks about the exchange, Jilly! I wonder what is going on? It makes me happy I don't have my next chapter going yet, or I'd be pissed that I couldn't upload it.

Jilly a lot of people can't upload right now, so it isn't your end, it's the stupid exchange.


Nicole, so I just copy paste the direct link while in HTML? But how do I type my text in? Can I just switch it to rich text after i have the pictures? The buttons all disappear on HTML. Will the picture size still be large? Lol sorry for the million questions. Normally on rich text I click on that upload button, then photobucket, then I have to go through my main folder to my sim folder, click through and use the paste button in that window. It's a lot of work for each picture.

That exchange is just getting ridiculous! With The Sims 3 coming out in less than a month, they seem to be totally neglecting that place.

I think you've got it all covered now, but you do paste the link while in HTML mode, and you just type between the picture links and you click preview and go back and forth between that to see all your pics. The pictures will still be the size you've made them.

Oh my goodness. Do you have any idea how much easier that was then what I had been doing!?! The wedding post before seriously took me hours and hours to get 46 pics up. I put 39 new challenge pics up yesterday using this method in a fraction of the time. I didn't even have to type in anything, I just copied and used the HTML link.

Fuzzy also told me it can be done in Word so it doesn't all have to be done right there and then.

I'm not getting TS3 until the following year, that'll give them time to correct problems and release at least one expansion pack (hopefully they'll have a deluxe or double deluxe).
