Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there! I know it isn't here yet on this side of the world, but it is for a few of you. I hope everyone has a great day, whether you're the mom, or the child!

Cute baby, Pixx! ;D It's tomorrow for us, but it's today in Australia and other places that are ahead of us, Sarie. Jo will be waking up in a few hours and it will be HER Mother's Day.

Wow, what a cool place, Jo! Wish my Mother's Day was going to be that exciting. Usually we go out to dinner somewhere, but this year, Harley is going to cook burgers on the grill instead. It suits me just fine, seeing as I've become a hermit lately.

I've never even been out there before, it's about 20 minutes out of town. Hopefully the food is good. I was pretty much a hermit for Dec-Feb after that turn/going on the meds. Mum and dad should be here in a minute, and then we'll head out.

Thanks Nicole! That's a very nice thing to do, Pixx. My elder daughter isn't even thoughtful enough to not work frome morning to night so that we can all have a meal together on Mother's Day. Well Jo, it certainly looks like a very nice place. I'm sure you'll have a great time! You simply MUST tell us all about it when you return. Have fun!

I'm back. Well the food was quite nice, but....new people took it over only two weeks ago and they over booked not catered (buffet) and when we got there in line the roast had run out. There was a small amount of chicken and there was ham. But I like roast. I said to dh, really if that were me running a place like that, i would offer free drinks or a slight refund or something for not being able to supply roast. You pay for roast, you want roast. Especially as the cattle come from the property.
But anyway the meal was still nice. I had some different salads. I think the beetroot they grow on the place. There was soup and some very nice deserts. I had trifle and pavlova. The garden is at the second house on the property and I don't know what that is like as that was an extra $20 per family and I said to dh we should not pay the extra for that after what happened with the roast.
My kids/dh bought me a wind chime for the garden and some pink pj's with sheep, and a couple of scratchy cards. You have those? Scratch off and see if you win anything? So I still have those to do.

Well, it sounds, despite the roast incident...lol. I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one who gets garden ornaments for Mother's Day! We have scratch off lottery tickets, etc here.
