Because somehow I exceeded by quite high bandwith rate even with being away for a week And they have put me to dial up speed. It's rather strange as this hasn't happened before and we have a pretty high type of plan. I did download a movie on youtube so maybe that was it? So I have 3 days before the new month clicks over on snail speed *sigh*

I don't get that. Some plans only allow you on the internet for so long? Well that sucks... Maybe you should use this time to write a new chapter

i remember when i was on dial up. I didn't care because i was only like...10. When my parents discovered that i was using the internet more and more, they got high-speed internet and wireless so that they can use the phone while I'm on the internet!

Well that sucks, Jo! I don't get those limited plans either. I am certainly glad I don't have that problem. I'd likely go nuts!

Wow, Jo. Sucky. And that is one odd way of managing internet plans. I like my Telus High Speed, it barely not works and is all good.

???Jo, are you on wireless? as we were getting ours stolen, but we have put a stop to it now!(fingers crossed!) & today is the start of my new month!I have just got through what you are going to go through an annoyingly slow INTERNET,in a few days time we will know if our setup has worked or not ! as it took them three days to use up or INTERNET quota!

That's horrible Karima! Here you can 'borrow' someone elses' wireless internet and it doesn't matter, you pay a set fee per month.

>:(I like that plan better, here you pay for what you can afford, some get cable TV & Phone included but mine is the most I can afford with-out cable TV, so as I get more download quota, some pay extra if they exceed there Q! mine is the slow down(I mean snails pace!) if I exceeded my quota as I pay a very high price now, & really could not afford to pay for excess just to have a half speed Internet!

I have a bundle package through my phone company. I get satellite TV, phone, high speed dsl internet, and my cell phone service. The TV is a separate bill, but is discounted into the bundle. It is unlimited so I don't have to worry about running out of bandwidth or anything. I had never heard of that until Karima was talking about it and now Jo. It would SUCK to have to get internet service that way.

I do have high speed internet, it's ADSL. We also have quite a good download limit (Not bandwith sorry!) I haven't exceeded my monthly allotment before either. I even asked dh was it possible the neighbors somehow milked our account while we were away, I mean we were away for a week in this month! He says no that isn't possible. Still seems very strange to me. Yeah I guess I will work more on the consolation prize and the next Mobacy chapter. P.S dh says our download limit is 12GB Surely in the not quite 3 weeks I couldn't have exceeded that!

Yeah something sounds screwy Jo. I would call your provider and find out what happened.

;)We have ADSL2 Wireless, & 15GB download so we knew it was getting stolen as there is no way either my son or me could use that much in 3 days? ? & even though they say it is safer & faster, it is also easier to steal the wireless, you just have to be in the ban width of your PC, so if it is getting stolen it will be one of your neighbors!

We have wireless as well but dh says it's secured and that they would need our password to access it.
We called telstra (phone company/provider) And got as usual someone with a thick foreign accent who act like they have half a brain. That's what dh says! Same kind of service we had that other time, sucky!
Oh well I am going to put my game on and see if I can get something done towards one of these stories.
