We have a younger couple next door that do it, too. At midnight, they turn it down, but they stay outside talking & laughing, and my bedroom window is right near their driveway, so we hear it all. I always thought the same thing - at least I can sleep in, but by 8 am, they're up and at it again. I've been in their home - it's lovely. After 10 or so, take the party indoors! Poor Jo. Your neighbors sound WAY worse than mine. I'm afraid I'd have to be "that neighbor" and call the cops, too. You've got little ones & need your rest as much as they do! Maybe a citation will make those neighbors "grow up".

At least dh can sleep through it, and it isn't as loud in the kids rooms. There goes my son calling now. He's always awake early.

That's how dh is, and off course some of the noise comes from him sounding like a thunder storm. At least I can prod him and he turns over and shuts up. Mostly.

A am a very light sleeper. Even more so since I had kids. Most mums are. Any tiny sound in the house and I am up and checking on my kids. Mothers radar. The neighbors talking outside at 5 to 6 this morning woke me up. They can't even sleep in after partying?

That's sucks Jo... late partyers AND early risers? Of course maybe they pulled an all-nighter and just hadn't gone to bed yet. LMAO@the thunderstorm comment! THAT also sounds like my hubby!
