That's what I thought! You cannot listen to MOST of what you hear over there! If you want to know the TRUTH about the game and its workings, you have to read and pay attention to places like MATY.

There are too many children who think they know everything running rampant on the BBS..

Well the person did seem to know what they were talking about, I don't think it was a child...but who knows. We bought a new graphics card, we updated drivers we did something else, oh yeah we put on direct X 10. Got it to run kind of so long as I didn't leave the lot. This was back after I lost my games, didn't understand how to put a back up in and had white sims with blue writing. No one could explain what to do so I ended up dumping it all.

Yea it's after 12:30am...lol I'm still sitting here though..lol.

Weill some people who are NOT kids sound like they know everythig, but don't really have a clue. The one who said to run the game after every install certainly had NO CLUE!

Actually it's a good idea to run the disk defragmenter after installing about half the games, make sure your virus protection is off, etc. But is is definitely not necessary to run the games after installing. Hmmm, maybe someone who works for EA told you that to make sure you got sucyrom.

I am amazed at the number of sites available to us. i swear i know no one who plays so it is an absolute SHCOK the number of people i run across.

I have one friend who plays the sims, another who thinks it's the stupidest game ever, and another who doesn't play it very often. I'm all alone for friends that live in the same place as me for sims and stuff.

So all you on the internet are the best things to happen to my simming life.

You know I love all you guys over at the guild too, but your all young, and it seems like more mums congregate here so I post more here. I knew Tina, Holley, Jilly and Lynda back when we use to spend time over on the bbs, before all that horrid downrating started.

I spent quite a bit of time on the BBS too, but I NEVER saw any of your usernames.... Odd hey?

Well we hung out mostly on the story or challenge boards. I still post on the help board and OFB boards sometimes. Mainly answering peoples questions.

Yea, we had to give up hanging out on the story board because it seemed that no matter what, a downrating spree would start just because it was easy to click on our simpages and follow links. That is partly why this site was born. I wanted to have a place where we could all hang out and feel safe from all that.

Of course new friends are welcomeed and encouraged to hang out with us as well. It IS nice to know others who share our addiction and love of the game. I also know no one near me who plays the sims except for my daughters, one of whom started the whole thing...lol, and a couple of their friends.

My user name was holleyb76. Like Jo said, I spent my time in Lots, Challenges, etc. I rarely went to the general discussion area. I would do the occational picture thread or something.
