I've had an excitingly, wondrous, tremendously fine time today . . . . NOT! 
The day started out normally. I rose, grabbed some coffee, and then sat down in front of computer. Yesterday I spent most of the day searching for and downloading some cute little icons and a utility with which to change the look of my desktop. It was beautiful! It had all these pretty, purple, different icons and folders on the desktop and inside the folders too. I was THRILLED to see that they didn't revert back to default once the computer was shut down and restarted.
Well, I keep my game on a drive other than my c drive and I also moved my documents to that drive... or so I thought. I noticed this morning that my documents were still on C so... I decided to move them. When I moved them I forgot to make a folder for them so everything in it just scattered over the drive which bothered me so I decided to do a system restore to put it back and start over. The restore worked perfectly, but my cute little icons were gone.
So then I got the bright idea to undo the restore and move the documents again manually. Well the stupid OS got hung up in a loop or something during that process and after about 45 minutes I decided I had to shut it down with the power button. *sigh* I didn't want to, but I had no other choice.
When the computer booted back up, my files were scattered in all sorts of strange places. Ack! I hoped I could fix it without doing anything drastic so I spent quite a bit of time messing around with it. I then decided that just to be safe, a reformat was in order so... now I have started ALL OVER again and I have to reinstall EVERYTHING I had back onto my computer! Ah well, it's just a thing! 
So if you don't see me around quite as much, it is because I am busy getting my computer back in order. You can bet and count on one thing: Once I get all my programs, etc back into place I am going to backup my whole computer so that the next time I do something stupid I will not have to reinstall everything again.
