Happy birthday Esme! Hope you have a lovely day. Amylu Creation VoucherIf there's anything you want for your game that I can make for you, just let me know and I'll give it a go. I have a quiet week coming up and I'd relish the chance to be creative. *hugs*

Aw, thank you, Amy! *BIG HUG* You know, I'm thinking ahead to the next stage of my Creation To Future family, and although it's silly, I'd like the (really old) Roman Queen hair (version without the crown) in Remi's maxis match naturals, if it can be done? Here is a link to the original hair: Click Or, only if that's not doable (I hear those old meshes have horrible mapping!), then would it be possible to recolor the Elder meshes from these photoskinned Roman sets from back in the day? First set, second set I think the meshes were not created by alexasrosa, but there are links, and the basic look (colors, layers of clothing, and so on) are right, but the photoskinning and bumpmapping is pretty awful. I have age conversions of the Uni toga for child-adult, but nothing for elders. If those are both too difficult, let me know and I'll think of something else.

Yes, Jo, it's still my birthday for a few hours -- and for longer, really, since I'm taking Monday off as my present to myself. Thank ou so much for the good wishes! *BIG HUG*

Ooh, interesting projects! I think the clothes are a bit beyond my skills unfortunately, I can only copy/paste textures so far, but if there are any textures that could be used then I could work with that. Most Roman stuff seems to be photo-skinned though, unfortunately. I had a brief go at the hair last night, but it was two alphas for one mesh, so it confused my Sunday night brain... I'll have another go at it tomorrow. Also, the elder and YA meshes on the hair seem to be broken, I'll try to get a picture of that tomorrow too. I can try to get the textures from the working adult mesh transferred over, but in case I can't, is it ok as an adult-only mesh?

Oh dear -- I'm terrible at telling how textures will work! Perhaps the textures from these (the group that includes Augustus only), which look slightly less photoskinned than other Roman outfits? Or does that become age conversion and therefore too hard to do? If that doesn't count as age conversion, there's also these textures, or maybe these? Please bear in mind that I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about textures or making clothes or anything, so if these are ridiculous suggestions, feel free to point and laugh and ignore them. I do remember reading that the hair had two alphas because one had the crown and one didn't, so since I don't want the crown, you can chuck that alpha. I didn't know that YA, adult, and elder hair meshes were different! If you can only get the adult mesh to work, that's just fine. Chances are there will only be one sim wearing it anyway. And like I said, if those projects are too difficult (because salvaging stuff from 2006 is HARD!) then just let me know and I'll think of something else, no problem. Thank you for being willing to have a look at these things! *BIG HUG*

I think I know what the problem is with the YA and elder hairs, and it should be easy to fix. The hair still has two alphas, I think it's just because it's so long, the plait/ponytail is on one, and the bun and head are on the other, with the crown editable onto that one. Funnily enough, it's very similar to retexture to the blue hair I did for Skye. The plait doesn't look all that great, because it's tiny textures blown up to big ones, as old hairs usually are. But I've done most of the head (you can see the bit on the top that I hadn't done at this point), just got the bun to work on. I hope it looks ok so far!

Hahaha, thanks you two! The bun has been proving challenging so far, so I've paused for a day or two, hoping my brain works it out for me while I do some Christmas preparation. Time to stick lots of snowflakes on cards I think! And I'm just putting a note here to remind myself to do the other hair colours too. I should have done blonde first, really, but I always forget and just randomly pick one.

I've come across a slight problem. What I thought was full coverage of the plait on the black hair turned out, when I did the blonde...to not be. Lots more work needed by the looks of things then! I knew I should have done the blonde first.

Well, that's an interesting result! If you'd meant to do that, it would be quite impressive. It looks like it's coming along nicely though -- thank you for taking the time and effort! *hugs Amy*

I'm not having the greatest of luck so far. The hair is proving difficult because my image editor doesn't have the warp tool, which I think might fix the plait. I was going to do a different hair, but saw that it's already been done here. At least it's been done, and I might have another one to try my hand at instead. *edit* And the Ornamental Braids I looked at have been done here, about halfway down the page. Let me know if you already have these, I just thought I'd share as I usually check online for similar styles when retexturing. These dresses that you linked to are actually already enabled for elder, so that might give me a mesh to work with. I'm still poking and prodding, it might be a while... Do you have togas for adult or young adult that you already have? I can definitely give them a tweak onto elder, or use them as a base to make something new.

Reminds me of pasta. I'm sure there is no end to the troubles that hair meshes like that could give. Talking of hair meshes, Amy do you know why some have bald spots? I got a nice male TS3to2 but it has many tiny bald spots.
