Well since the huge news today that toddlers!! and pools are not in the base game I will be holding onto my cash and getting myself another birthday present! If you haven't seen that absolute sh!t storm over this, it's all over, even on the official forums. Bad move EA, very bad move.

Yeah, I've had to give up trying to catch up on Tumblr because there are so many posts about being upset about the lack of toddlers in TS4. Very stupid move from EA; they said they want to go for realism then removed a whole section of the sims lives? How silly.

Pools I can understand though, I never use them in TS2, they just don't occur to me. I know one person in RL who has a pool, and theirs is indoors.

I'm not too bothered about pools, but as I've seen pointed out, sims is known for pool drownings, even in the non simming community and has had them in the base game since sims 1. So not a good move on EA's part.

Babies!

I just snagged this from MTS and once again I am disappointed. First glimpse of a baby and it is just like a Sims 2 one but not even as cute. By the forth installment I was expecting cuter dressed babies.

At least they're being open about same-sex couples being okay, instead of sort of alluding to them in a you-could-interpret-it-either-way situation or flat not having them? But yes, the baby is quite disappointing. I mean, it's still pretty cute, but it's also still bald and wearing only a diaper.

This game is looking more and more like Sims 1.5, and for Sims 1.5, it's looking pretty good, but I'm not planning on switching.

I noticed the relationships later, must admit I don't take a huge lot of notice of things like that, my eyes were fixed on that baby. I'm looking at it without any glasses, but isn't it's face weird? Maybe a close up might look different but from here it looks too adult in the face and too skinny. 1.5, I'm beginning to think so!
