The orphanage sounds like a great idea, and it'd be fine to do that with the characters, if people in the story go to their business, they'll be in the background, so technically they'll still be involved.

It'd be exciting for an asylum baby to happen! It's up to you though, I assume you'd have to play them to asylum rules and have them uncontrollable as a toddler if the challenge goes that long?

Ha, I do the same thing with downloads. Stressful day at work? - Download CC!!! ;D But mine are usually extra deco items that I hardly ever use, definitely more guilt-inducing than useful mods.

Right, now I should get shooting this final scene and the hallowe'en picture.

Well, that or use the kid to shuffle around for a baby-swap Plot that I could maybe use depending on gender, ages, and heir polls. Although you do give me an idea for resolving a possible complication with that, so thanks!

Does all this shooting mean we can look forward to a new chapter soon? ;D

Ooh, the baby swap plot sounds good! I can't wait.

Oh, I hope so, I really want to work on it tonight and get these pictures shot. Must stop getting distracted!

I'm really close now, 6 slides to shoot, 2 images to edit, 1 bit of research and about an hour or two of writing. Now just to get myself focused enough to get on with it!

I didn't 'play' yesterday at all, all my time went on decorating the next house in the MTS contest. Seeing we are going away I thought I better try and get it finished and posted before we leave tomorrow. I would hate to miss the deadline.

Woooo, I've taken all the shots I need for my chapter! All the slides have pictures on! ;D *dances* The last couple of pictures came out even better than I'd hoped, too!

Now I just have to finish writing it, and I'll upload it on the 8th whether I finish before or not. If I finish it early, I'll start work on chapter 29. Other than a big scene with almost 30 sims on the main lot, most of it is really simple, and it *should* take me less than a month, especially now we've cleaned the fan on my laptop. It's worked all day today. ;D

As far as the OWBC: I have two plots left, and I know which one the heir is using. I can probably work the second one if the aliens cooperate. I wish I knew who the heir was right now, but Baby C (or Babies C) isn't (or aren't) born yet. Also, I didn't randomize anything and Baby P is an exact clone of Olga. Do you know, before I heard of the first-born glitch, I never had it? Now I do.

Also, I had a brainwave about how to make the other plot work, and it was so brilliant I'm sure I'll forget it if I don't write it down. But I'll put it in a spoiler and use code names, so it maybe won't be such a huge spoiler if I end up using it.

A can't have a baby, so A passes the baby (now known as B) to C. C calls D to come take B, but E doesn't understand this and thinks that D is up to no good. E substitutes F for B and lies through E's teeth about it because that's within the personality points. D raises F with G and can't remember which is who.

Then there's only the motivation of an arrange marriage and with whom, but pffff... at least I've got the "Find The Lady" part down.

This will probably require a hack (or is it a mod?), but I'm not sure if it will work on my machine...

I've picked the family I think will fit best in the house for the MTS contest, but it's very uninspiring. At least there's still time.

Also: posted my first real chapter in a month and a half!

I'm 'awake' but can't habe coffee as the milks no good and sleeped so heavily I feel run over by a truck so those A,B,C's aren't making any sense, just the hack part jumped out at me. Do you want to move someone elses sim baby into the house? You can do that without hacks. If you want them to be related to the new person you can change ties on the simblender.

Well, in a way I'm glad the As and Bs and Cs are confusing, since I did it that way to not spoil a really awesome (but complicated) Plot. Don't try too hard to understand it -- if I don't get the right spread of kids, I'll explain it in full detail later. I can move babies into different households a couple of ways, including with the SimBlender, I think. The hack would be for something else entirely, and I think I might even be able to do it with the Creature Painting, which I know works.

But I didn't mean to confuse you terrible first thing in the morning, when you haven't even had your coffee yet. Can you ever forgive me?

I'm downloading some new stuff for my sims2 and then I'm going to go and play in awhile. I have an idea that I want to try out! Shhhhhhhh. Not telling yet!

Esme, the ABCs confused me too, but from what I can work out, the plot sounds great! ;D

Aaand I've got that finished chapter feeling! So, so pleased that I finally finished it. And I've got a day off tomorrow too, so I can get started on chapter 29 while I'm still feeling productive.

Right now, nothing happening in my sims game. Just trying to think of something.

The latest thing I'm adding to Apple Valley is random events. Mostly pretty mild or amusing things, not tornadoes, death or anything major and only on a family that is a little boring.

So I decided the Monty's could be the first to roll. I'm still making the list, taking ideas from other lists. So far I have the categories and some of the sub sections to them done. The Monty’s rolled a 3 which is disease and then a 5 which is the worst of the bunch-a real illness. (although some might thing a nervous breakdown is worse) I figure I can either do roaches or maybe try the biotech station. I used Carrigon’s poisoned spider as I was part way through their rotation and wasn't sure how long the other ways would take. Went over to the hospital and used the transporting mirror which adds the sim to the household. he is now in isolation, except he doesn't seem the sick. More like a nice holiday with some books and a TV! Next I'll go back to his house and finish the rotation there and play the hospital last. I figure just in case anyone else gets sick to keep it all in sync. I've added the simlogical prison token to his inventory so this should stop him going to community lots as i want to be able to stop the spread of the flu when it finally arrives. I haven't had the flu there before because I had a hack that stoped flu from roaches. Actually I think I had that in when I played the cheesy asylum, so no wander no one got sick!

That's an interesting idea Jo, especially with boring households. Random rolls can always make things more fun. What kind of random events do you have on the list so far?

I've been downloading rather than playing lately. As I'm going to have the entire family on the main house lot at once, I want them all to look right, and I've been updating their outfits. Contrary to what I expected, Rose is proving the hardest at the moment. The nicest pink dresses seem to come with the strangest shoes. She's not a converse/sneakers kind of girl at all. I've got Rose, Marie and Piaget left to make-over now, although I've already got Piaget's outfit planned. It's basically the same, just less photo-skinned.

And once I've got them all looking right I can shoot the main scene and then play through the teen birthdays, and finally grow Max to toddler. Fingers crossed I find the right stuff in time so I can update before Christmas.
