OK Help Me Get This Straight..(Wedding-related)

I've never been able to keep this straight for some reason

I'm about to get my uglacy founder/ess hitched, and I need to know:

In order for the future spouse to take a certain last name,
(a.)do you stick the person who's name you want to use under the arch and have the other come join them, or

(b.) do you have the person who's name you want to use join their future spouse under the arch(as in stick the other person there first)?

Reason I ask is that I've had issues with this in the past, and I wish I had the original SG cos I suspect that's in there, among other things I'd like to look up. . .

Have your founder go under the arch and ask their intended to get married.

Yep, the name you want is the first one under the arch. I always stress out over that point the most, they always seem to race each other to get there...

Alrighty that helps a lot you two! I've had the game goof up before so that no matter WHO you stuck under it they always took the spouse's name(the one married in)..
