Be it TS2, 3, 1 or even a different game altogether! Chat about it here.
In TS2 I am currently playing a new farming legacy in River blossom Hills. For this one I've decided there will be no jobs ever, no buying of groceries-they even started with the panty fridge which comes with no food. Only marry in of sims connected to gardening/nature. No digging for treasure as I think that's a little too easy to make money from. My other rule is needle and thread-no bought clothes.
So far my 'farmer' (lol they don't even have a single garden plot!) has fished a lot. They are living off fish. He married in the nature hobby lady who I will call Naen as I can't remember her difficult name. I've married in before and she is awesome. Apart from the fact she comes with $1 and no skills apart from maxed cleaning. She makes nice kids, comes with a gold gardening and fishing badge and is just a really great non complaining sim. She is family and her LTW is....marry off 6 kids! Just as well I like her.
They now have 2 toddlers and another on the way in their little shack. I'm enjoying have toddlers and kids around longer. Teens will be aged up after 15 days seeing that is when the game has it set for. No uni of course, do farmers really need it?

hi all.
Well right now, I'm just thinking of maybe starting a new sims2 legacy or getting the uberhood for the sims2. Sims3 I'm going to go and make some cute little family.

I've thought about looking into the ubberhood, but haven't bothered. Sounds tricky. My farming family now finally have their sixth child! Except apart from the eldest they are all boys! I was so sure her last would be another girl. I fired up Castaway Stories last night, but still can't get passed the three urns. I think my game is borked.

I'm in one of my 'easily bored' moods. I've been fluttering between one of my old Sid Myers games, to Sims 3, to Catsaway Stories to Sims 2. I've now started a prosperity challenge on Sims 2 on one of the smallish island terains. It was going to be a kind of castaway island and then I changed my mind. One household rolled was two teen boys, so I had to create a Dad and killed him straight after move in with one of my hacks. Stange how a satilight can fall so quickly.... Poor kids, but I want the orphan scholarship.

I've started an interesting challenge, based on an old homeless challenge I found on MTS which I have tweaked- of course. Some things I made harder and some things easier. This is actually my second time attempting to play a sim without a fridge (poverty challenge) this time I've gone one step further and I'm trying to have him live off food he can steal and the trash. So far he has stolen 3 nice meals from my surf club restaurant. He can only make money from the trash (he can't salvage yet and it may be he needs something first before he can, but I don’t know what. He has 0 neat points) or from this cc salvage stick I have. It's far harder and more realistic then digging up $400 bowls of coloured glass. You can dig up some gross stuff with that stick, his first find being cat poo. I I've had that stick for ages and had no idea it had that possibility. The original rules has them work as a dj, bartender or barista, but who would hire a hobo to work in a nice club? I figure he will have to scrape enough cash to buy a change of clothes and be friends with the barista or bartender before I allow him to work there. I'm thinking of posting it on LJ. The Diary of a Hobo, what do you think?

Sounds interesting, Jo! The closest I have to a hobo is my hermit that lives way up in the mountains of Nuclear Winter Village. He's supposed to, you know, be a hermit and not socialize except for his dog, but I still frequently find him wandering the main hood, digging in people's garbage and whatnot. Lol I haven't played my game at home in awhile because it needs work all over, and the first major program I need to start is not really cooperating. Of course my legacy is on another computer entirely, and is going swimmingly. Chapter 5 production can't go fast enough for me, as it's the end of the first generation, I'm planning another big to-do for the transition to gen #2, of course the heir poll is coming (with only the top-notch contenders), and I'm soooo excited for the concept of Grandma Tootie and Grandpa Loki, which I predict will be completely bonkers. Lol. WOO-HOO! Chapter 5 is up, and more is coming! 3-29-2014 desirablediscourses.proboards.com/thread/3424/freshnfruity-uglacy-rebirth-updated-2014
