Are both in for hernia operations this morning. Well dad was, but I just got a phone call to say he blacked out in the toilets at prep time (could be his blood pressure) So his is off. Mums is more of an uncommon type and we have been told it would be dangerous not to get it treated, but also the operation itself is dangerous. Any thought s and prayers much appreciated.

Oh Jo! Sorry to hear this *hugs*. I'll be praying for both of them, and you stay strong.

Dad is staying at DH's mums place, but he's very tired. Mum is also still very tired, with a sore throat from the tube. DH's mum has been at the hospital most of the day so we just get what she is passing on over the phone. Hopefully they will get a good nights sleep and feel better in the morning.

Don't know yet Pixx, I just got out of bed and 6.20am is a bit to early to call dh's folks. I figure no news is good news though, if something bad happened the hospital would have called. Hopefully they are asleep. Thank you for your concern though. I'll update again as soon as I know anything.

Thank you Pixx *hugs* Dad is back to his old self and mum is doing as well as can be expected. So she is in some pain and tired, but okay.

Thanks guys. Mum has to spend another night in hospital, but we drove up and saw her and Dad today. She is still quite sore, but doing a lot better.

Thanks Amy. I know she is wanting to get out, just so long as she can say yes to those questions they ask you after an op, then they let you out.

It's been a day or two. How are they now? Hopefully everyone is out of the hospital and on the way to recovery.

Sorry Pixx, I should have updated this. They came home yesterday morning after staying a few days with MIL. Mostly because the hospital is an hour away near where MIL lives and BIL who comes here on Wednesdays to do our business books brought them home.
Mum is needing quite a bit of help. She is still extra slow and sore. She's 84, so you know, it takes awhile to recover at that age.
