I'm close to better. The cough may take awhile. Right now I was looking at your quote up on simsecret esme. That's nice, I thought you would be back saying things went well. Yah, for new job prospects. You can do it esme.

Working backwards: @esmei: Congrats on the job interview! I always get nervous for those things, and yet I wish I had more of them at the moment. @jo: That's horrible to hear how everyone got sick at once! Did you keep DH in isolation so he stayed well or is he now the sick one? I've been vigorously fighting a cold myself this week but I was expecting it at some point (everyone at work has been sick) so I'm not terribly annoyed. @amylu: It's cool that you got to help with the shower. I went to one not long ago for my cousin's wife and was just happy there were people there I knew. Congrats on your house again! I'm sure it will be lovely when it's all sorted. Well it's been another whopper of a few weeks; it looked like things were going to settle down but then got crazy again! Lately it has mostly been trying to make time to return xmas gifts (everything I got that day @my grandmother's didn't work for one reason or another) and take advantage of xmas $$ on top of regular life stuff. I still have 2 things in that pile to try and return, one if I can deduce where it came from. Got my Amazon spree in finally and everything has come in but I'm thinking of going back for a newer version of GTA and TS2 Free Time XP, if I can find them. Last time I looked for FT there it wasn't around. I had my 2nd water leak in the kitchen, from the same place in the ceiling but the water took a different path FSR and I had to get the office to bring in a carpet crew for a bit of the living room/den carpet(it came down inside the dividing wall). Luckily I had the same advantage as the last time I had a leak and knew someone with a steam mop and a willingness to help sanitize the rest of the kitchen in some detail, with lots of Comet and Lysol spray and unsensibly hot water. Everything is mostly back in order except that now the carpet cleaners can't seem to get by to pick up their equipment. Hopefully next week that changes.

Dh has the constitution of an ox, meaning he very rarely gets sick. He did get the bug slightly. I'm the one who gets sick, I should have my own isolation bubble!
We might have a buyer for one puppy, we have a lady coming over tomorrow afternoon.
Oh no on the water leak. Ugg. I hope nothing got damaged.

Jo, did the puppy find a new home? modelmgmt, that leak is never ending! How horrible! Once water finds a way in, it's hard to stop it. May you get all the job interviews you want, and soon, too! I went up early for the job interview and saw the kids three times. My sister reported that my niece (who always gets up early) got up even earlier than usual the day I arrived and explained that she HAD to, because she was so excited that I was coming. And my nephew told me that he didn't want to go back to his house - he wanted to go home with me. So I REALLY want this job. I have absolutely no idea how the interview went, though, and I won't hear anything before next week. I really hate waiting...

We have sold one puppy to a lady who lives 500 meters away. She has a 7 month old puppy as well and says they are best friends. Just one to sell.
Crosses fingers for that job.

Well, that's not too far if you want to visit the pup. I just heard from one of my two references today -- the job called her to check up on me. My reference says that she "sang [my] praises." So if the job is checking my references, that's good, right? Eeeep! *is very nervous again now*

I've been busy building an amusement park, and it's given me more trouble than a barrel of monkeys, but it's so nice, I'm really pleased with it. If I can get one kink ironed out with leefish'es help I shall upload it. I stayed up to 1am getting it up. I think it was worth the trouble. classic.modthesims.info/d/574466

That. Is a lot of work Jo! All of the little carnival pieces are amazing. I'd be all over the cotton candy/fairy floss. I wondered where everyone had been lately. I dropped in tonight to check on chapter comments and realized I never updated my siggy here after I put up the link to 10! Good thing I decided to drop in. . so that's fixed. So, more life stuff happened. . . Well it's been crazy again but things've finally slowed down some. I don't remember if I told DD(haven't mentioned it at the other boards I go to)but I got in a car accident back in February when another girl ran a red light as I was halfway thru the intersection. Nobody was hurt except the cars but I've really been chasing insurance in some form or other ever since, starting with the news-flash that she gave me old insurance info, and she didn't even have her car insured with them.. I was really not happy when I realized I'd only had that car for 3 years, not to mention put a new rear window in w/ defroster, and new wipers just this past winter. *sigh. But car-shopping did not take nearly as long this time as it did to find the last one. In the process of evaluating the last car's damage, etc. . . let's just say I realized I wasn't happy with they way my insurance was handling things, when they had been johnny-on-the-spot so many times before, and quick to get things done properly and resolved. I still have them for the moment but will definitely be looking for another provider. I recently fired my pharmacy and switched to another as well. It ALSO used to be very trustworthy, until another company took over with some very dangerous policies, as I see them. I was only on my second time filling the Rx with them(since the switch) when they put the wrong drug in my bag in a(as they saw it) perfectly reasonable decision because they were out of my prescribed med. A simple mistake or confusion is fine but how they get off making medical decisions for their customers I do not know but I decided I didn't feel like letting them gamble with my life. They had told me it would be fine since both drugs are approved by the FDA, and since they'd put a green sticker on the med they gave me. What do I care about a dumb sticker if I don't know this other drug's side effects or whether it will even work as effectively? What would they do to a patient who needs a specific heart medication? Would they just stick a jar of pickles in their bag and charge them for pills anyway? The only thing the pharmacist could conclude was that I was angry they were out of my Rx, when I was livid that anyone with the kind of medical knowledge they're supposed to have would think it was okay to go around switching up people's medications from what they're prescribed, without even saying anything at checkout. BUT, my pharmacy, grocery and phone place are all in one building now. so that's a thing. I just hate it that so many reliable people have decided to skip out in the brain department lately. The attitude of 'we thought we'd just total your car and you wouldn't notice it was even gone' should not even be acceptable. Lately I feel like the only sane person in crazy-town, or vice-versa.

I think you did mention the car accident. It always seems to be people who aren't insured who you (general you) get into issues with. My dad had something like that when a woman went part way under his semi trailer. They have a sign saying do not pass turning vehicle for a reason! I always say to my dh, it's not you you have to watch out for, it's those other crazy's on the road.

Wow Jo, that amusement park is amazing, so much detail! I love so much about it. Yipes modelmgt, poor you! Hope things get better for you from here on. Well, we've been busy. My friend had her little boy last Monday (14th), he is tiny and adorable, but she had one heck of a labour. We finally have a move in date for the house, the 10th April, but the house is nowhere near ready. We have had so many delays and contractors being so, so, so slow. We're just going to move in and make do, best to actually be in the house! The day we move in will be exactly 7 months since we put the offer in. Blimey.

modelmgt did you say you put up a new chapter? Sorry I thought you had said you were just fixing an old one so I didn't check. Thanks Amy, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Congratulations to your friend, hope she recovers fast. Those seven months will fly by. I am off to have some late morning tea at my parents seeing an old friend is dropping in.

Well, this weekend we are officially moving, and I feel like a sim starting a legacy challenge. This is going to be so close to lawn living it's hilarious! I'm excited to move in though, no matter how much it needs decorating it is our house, and hey, at least it's now in this century hahaha. I met my friend's baby at the weekend, he is tiny and so cute, and he was very well behaved.

Well at least you wont be living on the lawn with one wall-I hope!
Aww precious.
Well my mum has been in hospital with a fast heart rate and dh dad has been in hospital and his brother has also been in hospital at the same time as his dad. His dad had a pace maker put in, so it's been a bit tense and coming and going from hospitals. His dad got out a couple of days ago and my mum comes out tomorrow. My mum is in our local hospital and his dad was 3 hours away in Brisbane as was his brother but in a different hospital. I hope things settle down now although I'd like my parents to get one of those call buttons.
Apart from that not a lot has been going on, it's still Spring break so we have just been reading our latest history novel and I've been playing sims and getting some things ready to sell at the market.
