Welcome, Symphony!
Like Qui said, we just recently changed things around and we're still learning our way around too! Lol!
There's plenty going on right now, with a group of us writing some twisted versions of famous fairytales/nursery rhymes, a maxis make-over contest, and plenty of little games, and you can jump into anything at any time, so don't worry about that! There's also a Sims 3 round robin legacy, if you're into those, feel free to sign up for a generation.
Plenty of stories, sim and otherwise, lots of chat, fun pic spam, just about anything you can think of. And if you think of something we don't have, just let us know - we're always looking for something new and fun!

I know at least three online who play sims but I haven't seen them online for a long time.
