Well, it's my mom's birthday tomorrow and I promised her I'd buy her a wig for her birthday, so.... she and I are going on a wig hunt soon.  She will be 72 and has thinning, straggly hair and is too lazy to try to style it every day so now she will have a nice head of hair to slip on whenever she wants! So... I want be around for a couple hours today. Hopefully some of you guys will jump in here and post some things for me to read when I return. I'm counting on you to 'pick up my slack'.  Anyhoo.... That reminded me of when I was younger and my grandma let me try on her wig. I know all those boys loved it!

Thanks Sarie! Well I'm back now and Mom's wig looks GREAT! ;D It set me back a couple hundred bucks, but it was worth it to see her looking so fine! |

Wow a couple of hundred. Hope she likes it. I wouldn't have even thought of such a thing. I doubt my mother would wear a wig though. She has heaps of hair amazingly just that it's straight and sure needs something doing with it.

My mom's hair is so thin and fine and she is never able to do anything with. She doesn't get the concept of using styling products so that you force curl, body, or whatever onto your hair...lol So it always just sort hangs there. Now she will be able to just toss her wig on when an occasion calls for having a nice do! |

That sounds like my mums hair, just that she has stacks of it for an 81 year old. My mums birthday was on the 17th.
I have the same hair, very, very thick. Her's has thinned down somewhat, but it just hangs there and she sticks a bobby pin in it.
Dh says he wants his laptop *boohoo* See ya.
