Favorite Maxis sims/couples?

I was thinking I might not save my current S2 hoods and start fresh if I reinstall it.

But my current fave couple is Alex Goth & Ginger Newsome. They have 3 bolts & are very affectionate. They fell in love at Uni, and are now back in PV, married, and have a daughter and twin sons. (One has Alex's nose & the other has Ginger's.) I think I may have to keep them, as I was playing them one last time tonight.

The funny thing is, I'd have to say Don and Nina now I've played them right through.

I would never have said so once upon a time, but by the time they were elders I'd got so used to them that they became my favourites. All the autonomous romance together and the devoted grandparenting, those two earned their place in my story.

You know something crazy? I have never actually played any families in TS2 long enough to develop any favorites, etc. However, I am way to sentimental to get rid of my saved games.

I still have a version saved to a disc of the very first family I ever created and played in TS2. As a matter of fact, I never could even bring myself to allow them to become elders, let alone grow old and die.

I can't believe that there are so many things I still haven't tried in TS2, and now I don't even have it installed back onto my computer after wiping it out and restarting it. It's funny though, because while I am watching TV, etc, if I see a house/apartment that has a floor plan I think is cool, I always think about trying to build it in my game, but most times I never do. Gosh, that's sad!

If I were you, Jill, I would save a copy of my hoods because it isn't like it will take up a bunch of room on your pc... none if you burn it to a disc or put it on a flash drive or something, because you may find yourself regretting if you immediately throw out your old hoods. I have on several occasions put my first hood back in and played awhile just for the nostalgia effect.

You're right, he is my favorite, but I don't really consider him a couple with anyone.

Good! Your PN is what made me play the maxis sims in that hood in the first place! I never did in all these years. I always made my own or downloaded others and played with the custom sims. It wasn't until I read you PN that I saw what I was missing & got into the hood!

I'd be willing to bet your story has inspired more than a few of us to check it out!

Well, I am glad I inspired something

I really like Abel and Marsha in my Creation to Future hood too. They are a lot of fun when left to there own devices.

This is George Jr., Bella (Don Lothario and Cassandra Goth's daughter) and George's son, and his fiance Casey, who is a born in Sim. Her family will be introduced in a couple chapters from now...maybe.

Well when I torture Don next heirship challenge, Holley can take credit for inspiring that. He may be the Sims3 version but that dude has some reckoning to deal with and his TS2 counterpart can take it. Not that he will die... no it will be worse than that.

Yay, Hottie Spam!

The Strangetown playables...the only one I play there was PollyTech Smith. I cheated his age back down to adult & had him "Pollinate" everyone in town when I was on an alien kick! Lol! Of course, I waited until his wife aged up & died. I couldn't have him be a cheat, afterall!

Gosh.... that's another thing I have done; made Don get most of the single females in Pleasantview pregnant, but stopped playing the hood before most of them made it out of childhood.
