She needs a serious a$$ whooping! Who does that? Sleep with their unborn child's grandfather?! I hope Everrett sticks close to Amiee enough to see that she is nothing like Anna and will allow himself to feel for her. Allow it grow! I really like these two and it would be a shame for him to miss out on a good woman because of what the last one did. |

If he keeps coming around and she keeps lending him her shoulder, he'll see it. Also, she might be able to help him with that "go running" problem. If Anna is using their son to get what she wants from him, he needs someone to show him how to reverse that on her. She can't keep their son away from him and if she tries there is always the legal way. I prefer the beat down though. Tell him to call me. I'll take care of that for him! |

The Q&A:
1. Where should Everett and Amiee take their relationship now?
I do think they should pursue a relationship. For more on that, see below.
2. What do you think about the situation between Everett and Anna? Did he make the right choice?
I do think he made the right call walking away from Anna, but the wrong one by being at her becon call. It's called joint custody. It's pretty popular - he must've heard of it by now. I wish he'd stop letting her run him. He can't help if she badmouths him to their child, but he can make sure he gets his visitation or she goes to jail - that's the law.
If she says she doesn't have money to support the child - either she needs to go thru the court for more (and monitored) child support, or he can fight for custody if it's shown she does have the money, but the child is neglected.
3. How do you perceive Everett now?
For the above reasons, I like Everett less. The kid probably isn't his - I don't know if it being his half brother would goof up the test, but I'm sure if he mentioned that posibility, they could screen for that.
I would like him more if he stopped feeling like a victim and did something about the situation. I could see Aimee telling him all this, and in that respect, they'd be great for each other. I hope she can give him the knowledge and confidence he needs to follow thru and get this heartless, souless monster out of his life! (well, as far out as a co-parent can be, if it really is his boy)
I think it's important for both Everett and Nathan to have a positive female role model, since they're both lacking one.
I think, being in a healthy relationship will help Aimee grow as well, because she sure needs to feel loved right about now, too!
The Chapter:
Well, I guess I got most of it out in the Q&A, but I can't say enough how much I hate Barbie and hope that someone puts a stop to her little reign of terror. For him to put up with her acting like they have a relationship is just too much. I hope his feelings for Aimee will finally give him the backbone he seems to be lacking.
I hope he wises up and gets a paternity test - he's more likely to have a brother than a son!
I hope Aimee thinks long and hard before getting in the middle of that situation. If he can't man up and deal with Barbie and his son, he's not ready for a relationship with someone else. I can see Aimee getting in that girl's face and putting her in her place, but that job should't fall to her. I hope Everett can prove to her that he's ready for the love she can give him, and if that baby is his, to his son, too.
I don't want you to think this is a negative review - people can frustrate you just as much in RL as they do in stories - that's what makes a good story! If I'm that mad at him, then you did a great job! That witch really has me riled up, and his lack of action just stoked the flames! Lol!
It's easy to forget it's just a story - because I know so many people like this in RL - both sides of that coin. It's such a hard situation when you realize you can't change the actions of others, but you have to remember you can change how you react to them. I think if Aimee can help Everett realize that, he'll be the strong, confident man I know he is!

I'm SO thrilled to see he got custody and that he and Aimee are in such a great place! I officially love Everett again, now that he put his foot down and dealt with that witch! WOO! I'm so excited for them - a trip to France? This is a dream come true for Aimee - I feel like I'm going with them, and I guess in a way...I am! Lol! What a great chapter - I'm in such a great mood now! (is that a little sad? I know...I care too much!  ) Putting on my beret... Took the poll! |
