Birthright You are on the right track  there are guidelines that must be met! And Drake does mean well, he is trying to protect his family and have his revenge at the same time and not thinking about the consequences of his actions. Magical Inheritance I love flashbacks too! They are my most fun to write I think! It’s always great seeing the characters when they were younger. Zoe’s dad was a romantic and refused to allow the love of his life suffer alone. Your sentiment couldn’t be more right that is something lost on Drake right now because he knows his potential after having trained Zoe and knowing his own strength. Whispers
Absolutely! Seeing Christopher in action only makes Zoe more doubtful about training their baby into the magics. The thing is though; the magic is a part of him so he has to be trained in order to know right from wrong. Zoe hasn’t come to grips with that fact yet. She sees her baby while Drake sees a potential magic master.
I would have freaked out in a burning bed too!! LOL that was funny. Zoe was surprised that she wasn’t more scared herself though. She’s getting used to her “hot” husband.

I'm with Jill, I need to know who the man in CJ's room is, and what he wants. But may I just say, something about him excites me. I think it's his glowy eyes. LOL.
I like Zoe's sneakiness. Good for her, for taking matters into her own hands. But not so good for the store clerk. I found that whole scene too funny. CJ's going to be hurting a lot of people since Zoe turns heads whereever she goes. He's much more protective than his daddy, or he's looking after his daddy's interest. I hope Zoe managed to get through to him though, about using magic for personal gain.
Loved seeing the fire between Zoe and Drake. It's good to see Drake still "has" it. Mhh, his "fire" seems to be an aphrodisiac too, or at least on Zoe's part. LOL.
Great chapter.
BTW, I wonder if CJ and Vanessa will end more than just friends when they're all grown up. And how their families will react if anything does happen between them.

LOL! You and Qui! Those eyes may be hiding something very sinister but you just love it! Zoe figured if she wanted information it's best to hunt for the truth on her own, though once again not listening to Drake can have very heavy consequences. The man has watched over her for her entire life and not learned a thing or two! He knows what he's doing. You couldn't be more right about CJ, he feels it's his job to protect his Mom and he won't allow anyone to make her feel uncomfortable. Imagine what he'd do if someone tried to actually hurt her! Zoe was channeling you and Qui on that "sexy fire thing", she didn't too much care the bed was blazing because what Drake was doing was MUCH hotter. Thank you! I'm sure both Drake and Vincent have a thing or two to say about that (Karima Juju) lol. CJ and Ness are great playmates as seen in an upcoming chapter. We'll see what develops as they grow older! She is a redhead (like one of my fave vamps) it may be some other girl in his future  |

Riley Jameson: Riley is bassist, guitarist and backup vocalist of "Break-Up Artists".  They were my pain this morning for close to 3 hours...I hate making sims. Anyway, coming soon in Chapter 5. Small roles but they may return, I love some good eye candy. |

SWEET! I hate making sims, too, but that's what I spent all day doing for my fairytale. Dai, I posted the link for your prologue and mine on the 1st post of the Fairytale thread here at DD, but I didn't put a link for yours on DDLJ. (I just forgot - I'll try and get back there soon!)

OMG, holy crap. This was amazing DJ. It felt like I was watching a movie or something. Loved, loved all the screens in this. Drake's explanation's been a long time coming, but I'm so thrilled he finally opened up and they saw the face of evil together. Oooh, things are about to get interesting. And I bet now that Zoe has seen what they'll be dealing with, she'll be somewhat glad Drake made CJ practice some magic!
Holy crap, that thing looked ugly.
Aw @ the shots of CJ sleeping in his parents' laps. They make such a beautiful family.
BTW, great portrayal of hell, visually and writing wise.
Hurry with the next update. And ooh, the band members are hotties. Hope to see more of them |

Thank you! I loved it made you feel like it was a movie lol! That’s great! That’s how I write them in my head. There are a lot of different types of demons about to be introduced and I’ve been enjoying creating their lore/names/traits/looks. Things indeed are about to become a little more scary and how they deal with many of the upcoming battles will be interesting and it’s just chapter 4! It finally came about! Drake finally opened up about EVERYTHING but there is tons to be revealed that not even Drake was aware of but will soon discover. Zoe will be much more open about Christopher practicing his magic. They will want him prepared for everything that they may be facing soon. LOL! (They get worse! I have one that looks completely fleshy it’s awesomely grotesque!) I went aww the shots of CJ too, it was adorable! Glad you liked them I’m glad it’s understood it was hell though it wasn’t quite called that. I didn’t want to use the term because I had no real intention of ever showing Heaven, if that makes sense. |

So not only as he forced to torture and kill but her had to sleep with that half human half bird thing? YIKES! Well at least we know now that his being sexy isn't just seen through human eye. This chapter reveals so much! So he and a demon in him and CJ has demon trails. YIKES! He is so cute though! They're always the ones! I understand Zoe's concern but now I am scared to see how this deal has changed since she used her magic when she was pregnant. MORE THAN ONCE. If this Karver guy's plan it to use CJ, what can they do to stop him? He scares the crap out of me yet I am intrigued. HIS FACE IS F*CKING SCARY! That's why I couldn't comment at first! I hadn't been to sleep yet and sure enough I saw that in my damn dream! LOVED the answers! I am so looking forward to more! Ha@ There goes out sex life. There are always ways |

Drake did more than his share of dirt while in the pit all for his family. He and CJ share demon traits some good, some bad. LOL @ always the demonic ones Drake tried desperately to keep Zoe off the magic while pregnant but since the other part of his deal meant he couldn’t explain why, it made it difficult for her to agree and not use it! Now we understand why he was trying so hard but what does this open up for their future? Sorry for the nightmares! But that’s just the beginning! I’m glad you got answers and I hope it was enough for now since the mystery only deepens from here! What does Karver want of CJ? |

ahh i liked the whole description about what drake had to go through while he was 'dead'. the bit about people who have their flesh burned off only to have it restored and burned off again reminded me of the greek story about prometheus who would have his liver eaten by an eagle everyday.
thats some heavy stuff drake had to go through.
now why would evelyn give him tips and then when he wanted to leave she flips out! i guess she never thought he would really try to leave. silly--demon? lol
i can't blame drake though for what he did. that was one determined man...even if his deal might end up costing more than he wanted.
i hate that zoe used the magic while she was pregnant! but either way it went it could have messed up the deal made since drake wasnt allowed to say anything =\
so karver wanted cj to have to have these demonic traits for his own personal benefit? i hope he's not going to try and turn the baby against his parents!
aye man!! that picture with karver looks so creepy! aint no telling how poor cj manages to sleep at night with him whispering nonsense to him.
i loving this update! a lot of questions have been answered, but now im eager to know what exactly is this ghoul planning to do with cj! |

I love mythology and I would actually like to work a bit more of that into my story, I'm thinking this would help ease things along! Drake suffered quite a bit while "dead". And he did it to secure his wife, not thinking that he could ever escape. Evelyn thought she could hold on to him with her tales. So she forced him to have sex with her while giving him small snippets of a story. Eventually he got all he needed and put the rest together. She wasn't thinking long term. I guess she assumed he'd keep coming back for more! Lol. I'm happy you are able to forgive Drake's transgressions! I was hoping to show that he was practically forced into everything, Zoe was easy to forgive him as well knowing he slept with some other woman for her (that sounds weird). But then again, Zoe was sleeping with Vincent while he was away. Zoe wasn't aware of that part of the deal, or any part of the deal really. He would have lost out had he said anything and he couldn't get her to stop because he was acting too damn shady and made her even more curious. He refused to lie about anything, had he maybe told a small white one, they would have been ok. Yes, Karver instilled demonic traits into CJ in order to get a major boost for something to be revealed later  he and CJ have a connection similar to Drake and CJ. In a way Karver is part CJ's Dad, at least the demon part (yep, the weirdness continues!) That plus the connection may help explain why he is always smiling when Karver visits and doesn't seem afraid of his face. Thank you! I'm glad some things were answered. It was time for truths on Drake's end. The shadiness had to stop! Stay tuned |
