Most of the simselves had to either skip work, or leave work early to make it to the party, which was scheduled at 5:00pm Friday afternoon. Since I hosted the party, I left work and got to The Gazebo at around 4:00pm to get some things ready. Jon, whathisname, the rock star, was already invited, but I had the the option to go the park with him, so I did.
He immediately found a dance a partner to get things rolling:
While I decided to grill up some Salmon for the guests:
As you may notice, Lynda is the background working out to the stereo. She was also an invited guest, but was there early for some reason.
Soon, Mae arrived and although uninvited, Adam Lambert decided to 'jog in' to the party:
Adam seemed to have an unusal interest in me for some reason, but I was too busy to stop and chat as I finished the Salmon and started preparing cheesesteaks...lol
Soon, the other resident simselves arrived and began to socialize with the guests. Jo latched onto and began conversing with her favorite, Don Lothario...lol
Holley and Karima made a beeline for the food. Karima: "Holley, is that creep staring down my back or what?"
In the background, in the gazebo, you may notice Jill trying her best to strike up a conversation with Lynda, but Lynda is a sim who KNOWS how to party and just won't stop working out!
So, Jill decides to chat up Adam Lambert:
Finally, Holley could stand it no longer and decided to break in on Jo's and Don's conversation:
No longer feeling needed in the group, Jo heads to the gazebo to try to strike up a conversation with Lynda. As you can see, Jill and Adam seem to be building up quite the friendship.
"WTF, Lynda?" Jo thought as Lynda totally ignored her and kept right on working out.
By now, Holley was really getting her flirt on with Don Lothario asx Sawyer chatted up a couple of dudes whose attention he had grabbed:
She even took a moment to steal her very first kiss from him:
Mae and Ashley get into a deep conversation while Sue dances up a storm in the background with Rhoda Bagley and I dance with the creep who was staring in holes in Karima's back earlier. Still with Don, Holley sighs deeply when she notices something troubling happening inside the gazebo.
Lynda FINALLY stops working out because . . . . she has broken the stereo!
"FINALLY!" Jo cries as she rams her fist through Adam Lambert's arm, "I'll finally be able to chat with my old friend!"
"I'm sorry, Don" Holley pouts as she turns away from him. "But . . . none of these other morons know how to fix anything!"
"Don't worry, Holley" Don purrs softly. "I'll be anxiously awaiting your return!"
Holley mumbles and curses under her breath as she works on the busted stereo while Sawyer continues to work his charm on his two very attentive guests.
Jo is happy to finally have Lynda's attention. "I was about ready to go home and grab my jar of Vegemite to use on you for awhile there!" she says to Lynda. "I was afraid you were ill and needed a bit of 'curing'.
Holley was slightly disturbed by the fact that Don didn't seem to be missing her too much. He'd moved on to 'other interests'. lol
Although things had gotten much quieter without the music, Sawyer seemed to be worried that party would be broken up by the police or something... lol
Sue looked on as Jon decided to begin a flirting session with me:
I started to play guitar and lots of folks gathered around to watch:
Holley finished fixing the stereo and watched me play too, but only half-heartedly. Something off to her left seemed to catch her eye:
She was not totally thrilled to see Don and Ashley dancing together...lol
Jo, also finally grabbed herself a man!
Don Lothario had a great time that evening as he made his rounds and had a dance with Rhoda Bagley. Karima decided to try her hand at grilling some hotdogs.
As the evening grew late, some guests began to leave the party, but not before saying what a great time they had and to thank me for inviting them. Most everyone was thinking what a great party it had been, but Ashley was daydreaming of unicorns!
A big thanks goes out to all the simselves for helping me to throw my finest Sims 3 party ever! It's only about the third one I've done in this game, but it was definitely by far the best! ;D
Okay, now I do have some proof reading obligations I've been neglecting for DAYS, so I am banning myself from playing/posting more pics until I get that done, which I'll be working on here in just a little while. I'm slow and I suck, I know...
I apologize deeply for the delay, but I'm going to get right on it and hopefully be forgiven for being so darned slack lately.
