Wow wow wow...did I say WOW Jill? I loved this update. I think it's one of the best by far. And the plot thickens with Ahkman I see. Edith is such a fool in love ;D She'll get what's coming to her I just hope it's not anything horrible ;D

Thanks, Val! I struggled with that...I think the ending will seem right to everyone.

Also, I see the point of this no longer being picspam. Should I post it up on LJ in the future? I don't write it before hand, I write while I'm putting the pics in from PB (thus my 'under contruction' while I'm getting it all in on modify!) I sure hate the thought of re-doing the first batch, but if I was going to move it to LJ like Tina, I'd have to do the same, stop the story & work on moving the old stuff. I will bow to popular demand, but if it helps, this one is only 2 or so updates from being done.

If it's two more updates to be done, I'd say why not finish it on here and once it's complete then you can move it over to LJ, of course this is if you're planning on ending it soon

P.S. I renamed my Chinese gnomes to Tokoloshe and Yina-Yina. Don't know how Storm got two of the same but the little guys like each other a lot and I often catch them playing together or rather very close to each other.

* Tokoloshe is a a short dwarf hairy creature in African Folklore and when I was growing up I used to hear a lot of horror stories about Tokoloshes. It's sort of like what you all would call a Boogeyman-very scary stuff.

*Yina-Yina is just a spark of random laziness or creativity. Doesn't mean a thing. ;D

Freaking awesome, Jill! I agree that this was the best chapter yet! I also agree that this should go up onto LJ, but it's ok if you'd rather finish it first before doing so, since you are only planning on a couple more chapters for this. Mine's a different story: I don't see an end in sight for mine yet...lol

Wow! Thanks, everyone! It's fun writing it on the fly like this, and playing it is great fun, too. I just finished a tomb today that was fabulous! You definitely need a longer visa and the Axe of Pangu to complete it. I'll probably go ahead and wrap it up here, then tweak it up when I move it to LJ. If it wasn't DH's BD weekend, I'd probably work on getting the next update in tonight! Lol!

I love your gnome names, Val! Very creative! And Jo, I have no idea when it turned into a story - I swear it happened when I wasn't looking! You and Karima have the right of it! Lol!
I'm glad you liked the Edith humor, Tina! I couldn't resist! Funny though, since the mini make-over and me playing her more, I'm getting attached in a weird way!

And for all your kindness, here's a hint. Ahkman DID find the last fragment today. This tomb had 4 levels and was the best so far!

And just because I can - here's pic spam of my pic spam! Lol! I played a different family for one hour on Friday. ONE HOUR. When I went back to my explorers, here's what I found:

It appears son Marcel has dropped out of college and is living with mom and dad. I love the "air-conditioned" shirt there, Marcel.



And even though he DID leave Edith (that's why I wrote it in - they show "partner" as "None" now.) Gerard is still living there. Let's play "What is he wearing"!!! Ready?


The pants (?) to the right are Gerards. The divorce was kind of hard on you, buddy?

Needless to say, this threw a HUGE wrench in the story I had done so far. Luckily, (and you won't hear this often) Bless EA, since they now allow you to clone a sim from any mirror or dresser! Edith went back into CAS, where a new, younger Edith was created and placed in that cute little Maxis house you saw. Problem over? Ha ha ha.

Someone popped up a want to hold baby Quentin. Say WHAT?



Meet baby Quentin, and baby-daddy Ahkman. Dude. I left you for an HOUR. So I have to frantically search the town for said baby, and find out who Ahkman was getting busy with while I was trying to get Edith ready to get busy.


The cuplret. MaryKay Shallow. I got over there ASAP to find MaryKay is evil incarnate, and was playing with Quentin by stealing his candy. And mom of the year goes to...
I wasn't planning a baby in this story, but I can't very well leave the little guy there. So I figure I'll just move him in and not picture him, right? How hard can this be?

His daddy got him a mummy bear from Egypt, and the little guy loves it! Well. Thank Goodness everything was worked out, and now I could get back to playing! Wait...is that a noisemaker I hear...



Vampire Bill!!! Say it ain't so!!! Luckily, I saved as soon as the little guy got all moved in, so I exited without saving, TURNED AGING THE HELL OFF, and went back to play my game in peace.

OMG, Jill, that was hilarous! I NEVER play more than one family in TS3. I just can't bear to go away and find something different with the one I've been playing, so... I just don't it. That's why I have different saved games..lol

Plus, I have my aging set to epic. It takes forever for my sims to age that way. Of course I don't know if it affects the rest of the town the same way or if it's only the sims I'm playing. It looks like it would be for everyone, though, or it would throw everything out of sync.

Woops, almost missed chapter 5 there Jill, and it was epic! Loved all the plot, but poor Edith's got something bad coming for her it seems. Can't wait for the rest of the story to see what happens!

The picspam made me laugh, I'd get so confused with the aging on TS3 it seems you can't leave them a moment before something changes without your knowledge!

Oh my gosh Jilly, that's hilarious! Maybe not for you though! I would not switch houses even for 10 minutes on sims 3 if you are doing a story! Baby Quinton. But he is cute.

Quentin IS a cutie - it looks like he inherited some of his daddy's exotic looks. I'm going to write him in, keeping with the spirit of pic spam commenting on what happens in the game. (since "in spirit" is the only way this is still pic spam!)

I had my aging set to one notch below epic. I think it's 190 days or something. I'm just leaving it off until I'm done with this saga, then it can do what it must.

I usually do the same & just make a new game for each family I want to play. I had my original Bill & Sookie in that hood, and I wanted to change their names so I could save my tweaked ones with those names. That's what started all the chaos!

This is such a Exciting story you got going. I can't help but feel bad for Ahkman and hope that, whatever he has up his sleeve doesn't end horribly for everyone involved.

Questions...
1. How do you get people to explore together?

2. My explorer guy have a Love in Egypt and I still have no option to invite her to move in. I think my game is missing interaction options, because weren't they able to Tell a Joke?
