LOL! I was definitely pleasant surprised, Holley. You can bulldoze the park, warehouse, and super shack house, then add Tina's refurbished ones to those now empty lots. Actually, the only thing that needs bulldozed if they want to use it is the new warehouse. The park previously didn't exsist until I built it and the Super Shack was in the lot bin until I placed it, remodeled it, and then uploaded it to share. Oh and to answer someone's question: The uploads at the exchange and on box.net are the same. The one that's on the exchange and at box.net, somehow got uploaded to the exchange by mistake or something because I don't recall actually uploading there. Anyhow, it doesn't matter which one you download.

OK, Thx Tina good to know. It was me that asked that question! I just finished placeing Homeless Haven, And I did bulldoze the warehouse, and replaced it with the one you made. I scoped out the whole neighborhood for plants to steal food from. I've never really looked at the neighborhood up close and personal before. There's alot of cool stuff in it! Thats as far as I've gotten, and it's time for bed. Talk more tomorrow.

Ohkay, my first reaction to seeing the rules was, HOLY SHnikes.... But now that I'm reading it, it seems easier than it looks. ;D Tina, do you mind if I break the rules and use a version of Central Park, I deleted all the fun stuff, there's 2 toilets (oh god) and 8 benches

OK, from playing for two days I have a few comments. First, you mention "It is the gardener's job to 'forage' for food by raiding the neighbors' and community gardens." It confused me though, because then you said "It is acceptable for sims to use things outside neighbors' houses even before they are allowed to visit the neighbors as long as the action is autonomous. You may not direct them to do so." So maybe say Objects instead of Things, because my poor simselves almost died because, at first, I thought I couldn't steal from neighbors unless they did it autonomously ;D Also, thank GOD for this! "If you are on a community lot that contains a fridge, it is acceptable for your sims to take food out of it autonomously. You may not direct them to do so." But I am assuming only "Quick Meals" right? I can't find the power cord to my printer so I am having to come back here to scan the rules every once in awhile. So far I am having fun, even though my OCD is twitching with only 32 commands

If you want to play this challenge and have it count, you MUST use the park I provided as the homeless simmies home. Sorry. If one person is allowed to break the rules, everyone will want to change something. Well Holley, it clearly states in the rules that you have to pillage neighbors' gardens to survive, unless you just use the community garden in Riverview, but it doesn't have that much stuff in it. The reason I added the part about using things is because of a question Jo had about it, but... I will change 'things' to 'objects' to reduce anyone else's confusion. Quick meals are all they can get out of fridges on community lots, but they can only do it autononmously anyway. If your sims don't do it on their own, then they are stuck eating fruits or veggies until you are allowed to cook.

I can't wait to see the pic spam spring up! And in case no one noticed, I added Sarie's simself to the first post in the simself thread. I didn't have time to grab a pic this morning, so she's stuck with the one I stuck up there until I get home or someone else hooks her up! I put her simself on my box.net account. OK, peoples...SPAM me! Lol!

Can the cook read about cooking, or watch TV show, before Fisherman gets 4th skill point? I would assume yes, they just can't actually cook anything.
Also, how do you earn Charisma points if you can't read the book or use the mirror?

You can use the mirror for the first charisma point only. No more after that. Cooking, there's no book learning, but I'm not sure if you can watch it on TV at someone else's house or a community lot. Tina?

It's all written in the rules, Holley. The ONLY skill that can be gained from a book, if you already have one, or the mirror is that FIRST charisma skill point. After that, it comes from talking to people. There is absolutely NO book skilling or TV watching to learn skills unless you become BEST FRIENDS with a neighbor. Then, after you are allowed to visit neighbors' homes, then you may watch their TV for skill points or read one of their books IF they have in their bookshelves.

Charismatic sims come with a book automatically in their inventory. That's why the book was mentioned. Other sims won't have that. They can use the mirror in the outhouse/bathroom to gain the 1st point only, after that, they have to earn them by talking.

I asked because Tina's Simself, with her "natural cook" trait came with a cook book in her inventory. So i'll just leave it where it is. Tina, i'm not dissing your instructions. they are very thorough, I just wasn't sure about the book thing. So you can stop typing "The instruction clearly state"
