I didn't play much more than 15 minutes last night. Just enough time to make a sim, a horse, and a cat.

I'll go in and take some pictures now.
I think I'm going to have to do some uninstalling, however...pets seem to really slow down my already sluggish game. I'll probably get rid of Late Night, even if it did have the coolest clothes... Probably World Adventures, too.

That's a shame if you have to uninstall. I got a new D drive and it's helped my computer somewhat, but Sims 3 still looks grey for awhile when I move from one spot to another. I don't play it very much as it doesn't keep my interest, maybe if I had a hack to stop that huge maternity leave it might be better.

So, I've played pets for the last couple days after I got home from school...and all I can say is "wow". This game seriously keeps me entertained.

It's different from say, World Adventures per se, in the fact that there is the potential to be continually entertained. World Adventures lost its appeal within the first month because there's a wall of playability. It's just not fun after you've done so much. With Pets, there's tons of options for fun and a good play...and you don't have to do them all at the same time.

I think my favorite thing is the new neighborhood, honestly. It feels so good to get away from Gunther Goth and Leighton Sekemoto. Appaloosa Plains is really pretty. It's kind of halloweentown-ish, with all of the fall colors and abandoned buildings (a tourist attraction, a victorian house, and the criminal career rabbithole).

My test sim's LTW is to adopt six strays, which is weird because that can be accomplished in a few hours and six phone calls. I've had her adopt a kitten and a puppy (picspam later).

She also collected several of the minor pets. But...they suck. A lot. They're basically just effects, seeing as they don't have personalities, wants, or needs. I got bored with them and sold them all. Which also sucks...because...you can put the minor pets in your inventory, where they could collect pocket lint and never see the light of day again. Not very realistic.

Also, my game speed improved over the past couple days. I think it was because I switched out the DVD drives and the fact that there was so much crap the game had never seen before.

Thanks for the link Sawyer, I'll have to read up on it as I don't know how to put hacks into TS3. *Lol this cat keeps pushing it's nose into my fingers as I try and type*

I wish I could get Pets, but I don't think my computer would take it. I never got WA as it sounded too much like a RP game to me. I'd love a new hood as I only have 3.

Also, they have plastic surgery now. It's listed as an option at the hospital. Weird. I'm afraid to try it.

She's not supposed to have the vampire teeth. -_- I used a faceclone of a vampire I made a while back in CAS and didn't realize it came with the teeth and tattoo. :/

Anywho...

Voila Toulouse! He's the first pet I had her adopt. His traits are something like, Hyper (he runs around the house all the time), Friendly, and something else. He's a sweet little monster.






Here's Foux (modeling some of the new clothes from Pets) with a Dwarf Komodo Dragon (or something). He's the first 'minor' pet she found. The interactions are actually pretty cute, even if there are very few of them.


This wild horse wanted nothing to do with Foux. Haha. All of the wild animals are pretty skittish.

Here's Fog, the puppy Foux adopted. He's Hydrophobic, Skittish, and Friendly, I believe. Also the cutest thing ever.





I think that raccoon just got a Memory++ of rifling through Foux's trash after he hissed at her.

So, there you have it. I haven't played much, but what I have done seems to be pretty decent. I enjoy Pets, even with it's glitches.

Kind of wish I had this EP, but I bet if I added it my graphics would looks greyer than ever. For the time I spend playing TS3 it probably isn't worth it, not until the EP's become cheap.

I love how she is carrying the kitten and the racoon is sweet!

I know! They're so "awwww" worthy. That's one of the interactions, by the way. It's one of the annoying ones, though, because sims will stop what they're doing just so they can look at a kitten and go "Awwwww" and hold their hands together.

Still cute, though.

The raccoon is actually hissing at Foux. D: But it's still cute...I guess...

I've taken a few more pictures, so I might upload them later tonight.

I hope someone tells Foux about rabies and why she shouldn't approach a wild racoon! Lol! Is rabies an option? How funny would that be!?!

The pics are great, and you're right - the clothes are awesome!

Did you have any problems with the game or the patch? I know a lot of people lost a bunch of their cc & store items from them. I haven't patched or installed mine yet.
