LOL! Hey, I just came in here to post that link, Jill, but I see you've beaten me to it!

OMG... I just read they are going to give sims back their 'memories'! Didn't they learn anything from the sims 2 memory system? I sure hope it is set up better than with TS2! The whole reason you couldn't share families already in houses is the fact that their memories will leave shredded character files that can bork your game. Now, we possibly will have the trouble with TS3 as well.

In The Sýms 3 Generations, Sims can now track Memories of significant life moments in their Scrapbook, and for the first time ever in The Sims, players can upload and share their Sims’ memories on Facebook and TheSims3.com. Your Sim’s first kiss? First WooHoo? It can all be uploaded and shared online with a screenshot and custom description of your Sim’s memory. You can even create you own memories in the game and share them as well!

Well at least there are spiral staircases? I've been wanting those for a while - Big entrance hall with glamorous winding staircases. But they look a bit playhouse-ish. Hopefully some wonderful CC creator will modify it

I hope there are more interactions. And stuff to do?

IN FACT!!!! I might say that the finale for Life of the Party i officially on hold until it comes out! I need a pretty epic Batchelorette party and Wedding for Naomi and Kraig!

The memories thing looks almost like a separate thing from the game - that would be a great thing if they did that!

I hear there's a chemesrty set again, too. You can see it in the high school pics, which makes me wonder if school will be playable at some level. I sure hope you can poison naughty little simmies with that!

totally agree with you Jilly!! I hope that they make it to where you can play high school on a certain level. The pic also includes them in graduation caps and gowns so maybe there will be a ceremony!

They do mention graduation parties. I don't know for sure if it's high school or Uni, but they look like teens to me, so I'm guessing high school. I wasn't too thrilled about this one at first, but the more I'm hearing, the more I like it.

Sims VIP has compiled a list of features, screenshots and videos for The Sims 3 Generations.


Town/Neighborhood

♦ There is not a new town for Generations. The town shown in photos and videos is Sunset Valley.

♦ There are 10 new community lots added to Generations.

♦ They have not added any new Rabbit Holes. (Still unknown if they have opened any existing ones)

♦ One of the new community lots added is a Playground complete with a Sandbox, Swing set, Seesaw, Playhouse Set, Spring-Rides, and a Treehouse(?)



Sims & CAS

♦ Body hair is a feature that has been added to CAS



Build Mode Features

♦ Spiral Staircases

♦ New type of Window


New Objects

♦ Usable Strollers to transport your toddlers. One per stroller. For more than one child, multiple strollers will have to be used with other sims pushing them.

♦ Bunk Beds and Loft Beds which can be used by Sims of all ages

♦ Treehouses

♦ New Playground equipment

♦ Sandbox

♦ Water Slide which can be used by all ages

♦ Video Camera

♦ Chemistry Set to make lots of new potions

♦ Sleeping bags

♦ Children’s toy boxes have been improved with costumes so kids can play dress up.

♦ Pink Limousines

♦ Costume chest


New Interactions,Features & Events

♦ Children and teenagers can play pranks on strangers, neighbors, and even other family members.

♦ The Sims 3 Generations has two kinds of mischief: Traps and Pranks in public places

♦ Pranks & Traps include: booby traps, Water baloons, covering a neighbor’s house in toilet paper (or TP’ing), Stink Juice (bombs), Flaming bag of poo, Ding Dong ditch, adding hair dye to shampoo, Throwing eggs, making the toilet explode, pouring buckets of water from the treehouse onto someone, messing with the sink to make it spray someone when they attempt to turn it on and whoopee cushions under the sofa!

♦ “Ninja Vanish-Potion” is used to disappear from the scene of a prank. Chemistry skill required to make the potion.

♦ Children & Teens can be grounded for mischief, have a timeout or have their video games banned.

Sadly I think I am most excited for bunk beds out of all the items! Definitely sounds like it is going to be a great expansion a lot more promising that it had looked when the trailer was first leaked!

I have body hair accessories (that sounds like a Ken-attachment...0.0) that come in different shades of masculinity...furry-ness?

It's actually pretty cool. And it looks realistic. I guess I'll have to see with I like more.

I'm sad that there's no new hood. ): I was looking forward to a ultimate-family-friendly-oogly town.

I have one in my accesories, too, and I liked it, but it would be nice to have it on the sim & not have to add it for each outfit.

I'm surprised there's no hood, too. I just assumed there would be.
