My specality for years was sweet potatoes stuffed oranges......Ummmmmm
You cut the oranges in half and clean them out .Save the juice...Make sweet taters as usual, with brown sugar and orange juice and butter...Stuff the halfed orange shells with the potatoes and place a big marshmellow on the top before baking in a 350 oven for 40-50 minutes to heat..
Whats nice about these is they can be made the day or several days before...Just bring them out early Thanksgiving morning to allow to reach room temperature before baking...
Ummmmm Ummmmm Good...
And I make killer Cheesecake too......Sometimes I make mini ones for gifts to friends and neighbors....

My favorite holiday foods are my mom's whipped shortbread cookies (they melt in your mouth) and her brown sugar toffee that's super creamy (with out any cream, it also melts in the mouth) they're fabulous desserts!

Ever try lutefisk? That makes most people lose their appetites, but I like it.
