Poor Damon.... he actually cried in this week's episode. It broke my heart and I wanted to kiss all his tears away.

Well, the above-mention crystal belonged to Katherine nearly two centuries ago and she gave to her hand-maiden, a witch, who is an ancestor of the girl who has it now. Damon has been trying to get it back, so that he can bring Katherine back.

She supposedly died in Falls Church, but the witch cast a spell so that she, along with 26 other vampires didn't burn in the church. Instead, they were buried in a tomb beneath the church, so they are still alive. The crystal could bring them back.

The witch has been haunting her descendant and has taken over her body to stop Damon from bringing back the vampires. Here is poor Damon after she staked him in the stomach and his brother pulled it out of him:



While that is going on, the witch has gotten into position and is burning the tomb so that the vamps can't be brought back. Damon is very upset:



After it is done, he is super pissed. Here he is right before he attacks and almost rips her throat out:



Earlier in the show, Stephan tried to tell Damon that what they had with Katherine had not really been love, that she had compelled them and they had not had any choice. Well... after there is no hope of bringing back Katherine, Damon is heart-broken. He tells Stephan that Katherine never compelled him and he knew what was going on the whole time.

*sniff* Poor Damon truly loved Katherine. Now he devastated and says he's ready to leave town. I felt so bad to see those tears in his eyes. My poor baby...lol

Ah, in the book the crystal is a ring, but without the random extra vampires, burials, church, tomb, etc. Heh, if they stick to the book plot with Katherine eventually this could be really, reeeeally good. *sits back and grins*

Hnmm, I may read through the earlier books again to brush up on my plot knowledge at some point soon. Trying to think what will definately make it to the TV show. Damon is amazing anyway, so at least we know that's certain!

*sigh* The show comes on tonight, but I'm not going to get to see it until tomorrow. Our football team plays tonight, so I'll be watching that instead. Darn Thursday night football!

Okay, Amylu, my lovely audience of one. (You know, others are welcome to comment if you feel so inclined...LOL) This post is going to be a bit different with a few more screen shots than usual because... ... I've had my LAST new dose of Damon until January 14, because the show is on hiatus until then... the jerks! Anyway, since there is going to be more pictures than usual, I'm going to put different scenes behind spoilers to make the page loading go more smoothly.

In the opening scene, Damon and Stefan are discussing their plans for the future and where they are going to go. They plan to leave town, but Stefan wants to head in a different direction from Damon.

Here is Damon's expression when they hear an unexpected knock on the door:


Stefan answers the door and it is the sheriff, who wants to speak to Damon. Damon invites her in and then they go out back to discuss why she came. It turns out there is another vampire in town who's been killing people and she asks for Damon's help in tracking him down. So, here is Damon, Vampire Hunter...lol

Here, he's asking what she wants him to do:


I love his many expressions!


Of course, Stefan is inside listening with his super-hearing vamp ears on, and when Damon comes back inside, he grabs him and throws him against the wall, asking if he'd been the one who killed those people.

Damon tells Stefan, "Don't touch me!" and that first of all, he didn't kill anyone and that there's a new vampire in town. When Stephan says that's impossible, Damon says, "Well it must not be because one killed those people. Now, where do you want to go?" Of course, Stefan says he can't leave town now because they have to find the vampire who's killing people. Damon then tells him to "let the adults handle this."

So, Damon recruits Caroline to use the vampire-tracking watch to locate the rogue vamp. Here, they are standing outside an old warehouse. Caroline asks why he had her do this for him and Damon told her, 'Because, I mess up the signal!" Then Caroline tells him she's wants to leave now and he says, "Why don't you just do that?"


In this next picture, he is making her forget that she was ever there.

Now Damon walks into this warehouse and almost immediately, he is pummeled by wooden bullets. It turns out that Logan, Elena's sister's ex-boyfriend, has been turned into a vamp. He'd been missing from town for a while. Now, Damon wants to know who turned him and Logan wants to know how Damon and Stefan can walk around in the daylight. Logan says, "I have some questions" and Damon says, 'Me first!"


This pisses off the crazy vamp and he shoots poor Damon a few more times:


Here he is plucking some bullets from his body. *cringe* lol


Damon asks again who turned Logan and Logan says it was Damon. Damon said, "No way! I only killed you. I didn't turn you! You'd have to die with vampire blood in your system to turn vampire."


Then Logan starts rambling on about his cravings for blood and killing. He said he wanted to find his girlfriend and bite her and stuff. I found that amusing...lol. He told how he actually liked killing, but yet not really. He told Damon he felt conflicted.

"Welcome to the club" Damon says.


Logan told Damon he'd gone on a killing spree and then Damon said they'd only found one body. Logan said he'd been hiding them all except the last one because he was tired. He pointed to where he'd been piling all the bodies.


This is Damon, turning his head to look.


He was a bit shocked as he looked back up at Logan.


*swoon* Dang, he's so cute!

Anyway, they got back into it about who turned Logan and how vampires could walk in the daylight. Logan got pissed off again and shot Damon with a fresh round of wooden bullets and left him lying in agony on the floor when he left.

You really have to get ready to feast your eyes on the first few this next set of pictures. Too bad there weren't any better ones, but these are not bad...lol

Later, Damon calls Stefan on his cell phone and tells him he was ambushed.


Damon tells Stefan that Logan is the new vampire and he shot him when he found him.


Damon tells Stefan that now he is vengeful and intends to find Logan and pay him back for what he'd done to him.


Logan ends up grabbing Caroline, who happens to be the sheriff's daughter and plans to turn her into a vamp. Stefan and Damon catch up to him and this time, Damon is holding the gun.

"Payback's a bitch, isn't it?" Damon sneers after he shoots Logan full of holes. lol Gotta LOVE that expression!


Damon tells Stefan to take Caroline home and then he picks up a crowbar and moves toward where Logan is lying on the ground. He tells him the crowbar could take his head clean off and asks again who turned him. Logan never says who turned him, but he says he knows a way to get Katherine out of the tomb and asks Damon to meet him there at the old church later. Damon agrees and lets Logan go.

Later, Damon gets a surprising phone call from the sheriff, thanking him for killing Logan. Damon was shocked to learn they'd found his body. Unbeknownst to anyone, Alaric, new teacher at school had found and killed Logan because he has interest in Elena's sister and didn't want Logan to be around to threaten her.

I'm doing something untraditional for me in this thread and am going to show a few pics other than hot Damon, since this is the last episode for a while.

Stefan and Elena finally do the horizontal boogie.

Stefan offers to go get Elena something to drink. While he is gone, she starts looking around the room and finds the picture of Kathrine and sees she looks identical to her. Then the dumbass girl takes off the vervain-lined necklace that Stefan gave her so that she could not be mesmerized by vampires and lays it on top of the picture of Katherine.

She takes off in her car in the rain and then sees a man standing in the road. She tries to stop, but can't and hits the man. She, of course, wrecks and her car rolls onto its roof.


While is sitting there, trapped upside down, she is horrified to see the man getting back up and starts walking toward her.


Here she is as the man reaches her and is standing just inches away from her car.

Isn't that cliffhanger a biatch? It's especially bad since I have to wait WEEKS to find out who the guy is and to get another 'Damon fix'.

Sorry Tina, I never look in here because I don't have any interest normally in vampires, your story aside. I only noticed your post on the '20 last posts' thingamee.

And I was going to say something, but I'm so tired I've forgotten. I had my daughter sleep in with me last night and dh slept on her bed. Didn't help much as she is all over the bed. As kids tend to do! And now it may be only 10.40 but the page is swimming. Good night!

I...LOVE those pictures! ;D Seriously, I was going through going 'ooh, that's a good picture, must comment...wait, that one's even better, ooh and another one!' to the point where I'm just sat at work going 'yuuuuum'. Thanks so much for putting these up Tina, even if it's just me drooling over him.

Also, yay for Alaric! Awesome character in the book who often gets overlooked. And I think I remember Elena's car crash in the book, definitely a good cliffhanger to leave on. Well, if you define good as being 'omg tell me now!'

LOL... Jo, you don't have to be into vamp stories to enjoy pics of HOT Damon! What's the matter with you, Woman? Though, I am VERY flattered that you leave your normal comfort zone to read my stories with vamps in them. ;D
