Getting back into the sims

Cool! Clayton just reached level 7 and got the message about rescuing sims, so I'm looking forward to seeing that! (Of course, Slade's hot no matter what he's doing! Lol!)

;D Jilly, I was reading in that link you posted, about the Doctors career!(I was looking for tattoo artist,but there is nothing on that, there? )

~ The only thing new is the doctors can leave work to do house calls & outside work(you have to accompany the Sim!)So they still go to their Rabbit hole, but you can take your doctor on calls!While they are at work!This is the only addition to that career

~ I have made a male & female, one will be a Tattoo artist,the other a PI !

~ What I want to know? is...... were do I put my packages file?

I put all my package files in the basegame folder and they work fine Karima So did you install it already

The only time I have maxed motives was for shooting a story. Even Og's house with 12 I play without cheating. Of course I learnt to play without cheating because I didn't know about it until I'd been playing a couple of years, I guess by then I was Why bother.

@ Karima ive played in the PI career i like the options scope (i think its called, you get to spy on places) and break in (you can break into peoples houses when your investigating)

@jo I used to play the sims 2 without the cheats (only one i would use is familyfunds while i was building) but i found that the sims motives (think thats what there called) go down a lot faster but that could just be because my sims stuff is really cheap as she had no money after moving her in i kept spending it all on scraps or i would buy cheap stuff and blow it up.

I'm a bit of a cheater too. I usually turn of the "Social decay" on the lots so the relationship scores don't go down.
I don't use the money cheats much.
As for motives, the only time I use "maxmotives" is when I am shooting a scene for a story. I have found the Free Time perks really help keep those up longer.
I'm also a bit of a control freak and don't let my Sims run around on Free Will too much.

well i fired up my game and the first thing i did was put the motives thing on so i could keep going into the future for that robot book but i didnt realise you had to do a challenge thing first lol so im now looking for a life plant any ideas where i can get a life plant seed from?

In Sunset Valley they had them near the science center. I got my inventor the collection helper aspiration reward and OMG did it make finding seeds a breeze!!! It also helps them later when they have to find the gems they need for the robot job.
I had her plant every seed she found & just eliminated the plants I didn't want once I saw which ones were the life plants. ALso, if you take the first couple of harvests and plant them, you get your 10 fruits faster.

Also, I had to travel to China to find one of the gems. You have to have 10 different ones before the option for heart shaped cuts becomes available. (of course I found a hack for that AFTER I went thru all the trouble! Lol!)

And for what it's worth, there's no "adoption pool" in S3. Any child taken by the social worker will never be adoptable, but they do somehow still live in the hood. Bummer, huh?

ok thanks i will go hunting for seeds later i go the collection tool thing yesterday i just wasnt sure where abouts it was

the hack you are on about was that the one of that carls website if so i found it but i dont want to use it i want to try and play without cheating (maxing motives dont count for me hehe)

ive spent most of the night yesterday and most the morning trying to get my world tool thing to work it keep s coming up with beta has crashed blah blah blah attempted to read or write protected memory. this is often an indication that other memory is corrupt so i uninstalled and re downloaded the thing from the sims 3 site and it still does it ive patched it and everything and it still wont work anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

I never tried the create a world tool. There's too many things in there I don't understand. ANyone else try it?

;D Sorry to say but EA broke the 'Create a World Tool' with AMB,they are fixing it! I won't hold my breath, I just use the editing tool near the bulldozer,to move blocks or make them bigger or smaller! It's not a new world,but you can customize the ones you have to your liking!
~ The newest patch has broken one of my hoods,I am so "P" OFF!
~ Does EA,actually know what they are doing??

I tried to get into one of my older hoods & got booted out of the game. I haven't played them since before the last patch. I wonder if the same thing happened to me? I'll be mad, as I already had to re-create that hood once! (although that was my own fault for not removing the mods before I patched)

;D It was my Matt Fine story Hood, & the new improved Balin was there,with all my new builds! I am so mad,because I did it all correctly,when I patched!I have to wait for them to sort it out!

Argh! That sucks! Mine was Sookie & Vampire Bill. They had a baby & I was going to play it to toddlerhood for Ashley's competition, and I can't get in that hood now! (Ahkman and Nabila are in there with a new baby, too!)
