First I want to express the fact that I am using this thread as an example of the content a thread in this forum should contain. It is merely a guideline, and is not intended to be an exact replica of how everyone should format a recommendation thread. Mine is likely to be more long-winded than most because there are a few things I want to share about the writer I have chosen as the first author to be recognized in this forum. Now, back to the point:
Holley and I first met during the summer of 2008 on The Sims 2 official web site's BBS, when I finally worked up the nerve to advertise my first story on the storyboard there, and is one of the first group of people to join this site when I started it.
Back then, Holley was more of a reader rather than a writer. It just so happens that she read my story, loved it, and quickly became one of my biggest fans. (Thank you for all the encouragement and praise, Holley. It is truly one of the reasons I kept writing and eventually ended up creating this site.)
Through the encouragement of her friends here, Holley finally embarked on the story-writing train, and the rest is history! She decided to play Joandsarah's 'Creation to the Future' challenge and to share her progress with us in story form. Over the following weeks and months, Holley grew tremendously as a writer and I, as an avid reader of her story, could not have been more pleased! As it turns out, I am now as big a fan of Holley's as she is of mine.
Holley is turning out to be one of the most dedicated, awesome storytellers around these parts. Always striving to do better, her 'Creation to the Future' story is near to becoming an epic tale, that of which legends are made!
The challenge, for which the rules can be found at this site posted on The Sims 2 Challenge board, circles around the 'first family' and follows them through the trials and tribulations as time progresses and technology advances. Holley has made her story into more than a mere show and tell of what happens to her sims during the challenge. Her tale has a way of gripping her readers tightly and pulling them straight into the story, making them genuinely aware of what the characters must be feeling, making you cheer for the good guys and hope for a horrible ending for the bad ones.
Holley's story is not for children! It contains violence, and quite a few, very steamy, adult situations. If you are into high drama, suspense, and a bit of magic mixed together with steamy romance, this story is for you. I have been away and have gotten behind lately (on a bit of everything) but I fully intend to take up reading right where I left off as soon as I get the chance.

While I am here, I would like to highlight another favorite of mine by Holleyberry:
It is Holley's take on the residents of Pleasantview. It is also, of course, a Sims 2 tale. This story is packed with drama, romance, and includes a touch of mystery as well. At times, the writing seems a bit more laid back than in the aforementioned story and some of the pictures are not the best as well as being few and far between, but Holley clearly explains that in the thread which contains the link to her story.
This story also contains material not intended for children. Holley has managed to make the residents of the 'sleepy' town of Pleasantview come alive with bouts of high drama and steamy passion. If that sort of story is your thing, then I highly recommend taking a look at:
A Pleasantview Novella
The story appears to have not been updated in a while, but if all get together and give her a little nudge, I am sure Holley will feel compelled to give us more.
A quick note to the authors of the other stories I follow:
I sincerely hope no one has taken offense to my choice of writer for this first recommendation. I would love to have taken the time to recommend all of you because you are all quite fantastic, but for the sake of fairness, I felt I should give someone else a chance to post before I decided to take up the whole page for my favorites....lol! Don't worry though. If no one else gets around to posting a thread for you sometime in the not-so-distant future, you can rest assured that I will be back!
As my closing statement, just in case you are wondering about the text in red at the top of this thread because you missed reading the rules and guidelines thread, I am posting the link to this thread at the bottom of this post. It should clear everything up nicely for you.
