It's my simself too. Not the one in the asylum, but just a little family I had. Everything was fine until I think I went into labour with baby number two. I repeatedly jumped up and down in bed. I assumed that meant the baby was coming and would sort itself out. Eventually after some hours I finally got out of bed, went to the hospital and had the baby. But the jump has continued all the time. If I am walking I pause and my arm is bent like the old chess hand glitch from TS2. But if I am eating I jump up and down, bathing, writing etc. I thought when I had my birthday from YA to adult it might right itself- nope. Help I don't know what to do!

Hmm, I don't know what to do either. I've only gotten 'jumps' since installing WA and that was after I installed this 'super computer' mod to get rid of the sparkles the eye candy reward gave to Nellie. Those jumps only ocurred during certain romantic actions between Nellie and one of the guys, though, for some reason. When it happened, I googled it, but didn't find too much on the subject, so I ended up thinking it had something to with the mod in my game, or the general wonkiness of romance with foreign sims. I'll try looking around again to see if I find anything on the subject. I'd suggest you try googling it and doing the same. If it isn't one thing with this game, it's another.

That's for sure and it's really annoying! I'm going to try having a third baby and see if that does anything.

That's different to mine. I continue to do whatever it is that I am doing but I jump to standing while doing it. So I continue to write my book as the green bar doesn't go away but I jump up to standing through the chair and sit, jump, sit etc. I also sleep while standing in the middle of the bed then lie down, then stand etc.

Maybe you should try the 'reset sim' cheat to see if that fixes it. The only problem is that it only works when testing cheats are enabled. Or... you could try moving her out of the house and then back in. Other than that, I have no suggestions and I can't find any fixes online either.

I already tried moving them to a new place yesterday which didn't work.
'reset sim' Ok give it to me what do I type? >sigh< It is only sims 3, I've already uninstalled and lost families at least three times so far. Luckily I am not so attached to it going kaboom as I am to my sims 2 sims. I'm trying to do a quick unpublished legacy here and don't know if I can stand my simself doing this her whole life span! I wish it had a Bat Box!

Okay, first you open the cheat box and then type testingcheatsenabled true. Then open it again and type resetSim Jo Simself. The name is just an example. I don't know the full name of your simself in your game, but the full name of the sim is what you type. Then she will disappear for a bit because she is being entirely rebuilt. When she comes back, all her motives, etc will be reset. Hopefully that will fix her jumping problem, but I don't know. You'll soon find out if you try it and see.

Ok *nervous twitch* I don't suppose we can delete sims and find them by the letter box like in sims 2 can we? Lol I think I am called 'Jo Simself' I am copying and pasting that exact wording! If it goes kaboom I will blame you! I hope her being pregnant doesn't change anything. Well it might have worked, but what about that true thing Tina?! Do I now type enabled false? Should I save and exit! Can I play with that true thing on? Don't leave me hanging! ... I've goggled and I am going to do testingcheatsenabled false now, so it better be right.

Yeah, that's right! Sorry Jo, but I was watching some TV shows, so I didn't get back here earlier. Plus, it's perfectly fine to play with testing cheats enabled. Lots of people only play that way, with TS2 and TS3. I don't think you can delete sims like in TS2 and have them come back. I've never tried it because in the TS3 readme file, it says things, including sims, that have been deleted with move objects on cannot be recovered. I've been afraid to give that a try...lol So, did that fix her?

Well just make sure you give me all the instructions before leaving next time hmm. Well it did fix her and now she's blinking well glitched again! Played fine and then I went to the libray, read to the toddler, canceld the action and now she is standingthere not moving. *sigh*
So I fixed her again, and goodness me if the first glitch hasn't come back a day later. I don't want to be using that cheat all the time. I know me I'll forget to turn it off and soemthing will go kaboom.
