I thought, Ok I will try a toddler hair. Jimminy Cricket! This is complicated. This is the hair: www.peggyzone.com/Sims3Detail.html?id=000335&sortId=00I hope I've done it corectly. I mad a 'Mods' folder and then a 'Packages' folder inside that 'Mods' folder. Then I placed the Resource.cfg file simply inside the Sims 3 folder. Is that correct? I haven't looked yet, just thought I would ask if I'm doing this correctly. As far as i can tell there's hardly any nice free toddler hair around anyhow. The one I really liked was pay- of course. *is against pay stuff! IMO it's just wrong!* Edit: Why do those two files (Toddler and child) show up as SimPE files? When SimPE is only for Sims 2?

Did you make those folders inside the sims 3 folder in your program files, or inside your documents?
It has to be in the program files folder in order to work. You may need to post a couple of screen shots to show me what you did.
I guess they show up as SimPE files because they are package files just like the TS2, but that doesn't mean you can use SimPE to open them. I don't have it, but there is a SimPE out for TS3 as well now.

Sigh, I did that. No wonder it doesn't show. I didn't see any instruction to say it was meant to be done in programme files. *growl.* Where do I find the programme files? I don't see it under 'All programmes' down the bottom left with the others.

If you read the instructions for installing TS3 CC at MTS, it says several times to put the stuff in your program files... in bold letters. lol It's the same way you find your program files in TS2. Go into 'computer', then your 'C' drive, then Electronic Arts-The Sims 3. THAT's where you make your Mods folder.

This wasn't MTS, it was the Peggy site. I haven't looked at instructions elsewhere as this is the first time I've even tried non store cc. Programe files for TS2 are right under 'All programes' down on the left, I've never had to go to C drive. But ok, C drive. I think I need some Nurofens first. My mother has just gone home after 'helping out' I think I need to lie down after her help.

Not looking at any install instructions was your first mistake...lol In order to actually open the sims folders in either of the games is to go into your computer and look on your 'c' drive. That's where they both are. The only thing the ones under all programs on the left do is open the game to run it if you have a disc in. As a matter of fact, you should see Electronic Arts in that list as well, but all you can do from there is open the different things in the menu. It doesn't actually open the folder so you can put stuff in/take stuff out. I know when I told you how to do the no cd crack for TS2, I told you to look in your 'c' drive to open it. But, I guess you should definitely take care of your headache first.

I did read the install instructions Tina, I said so on my first post.
No doubt you did, I just forget things like that.
Thank you for the help, the hair is showing since I dragged the files across to the program files.

LOL... I meant 'detailed' installation instructions like the ones at MTS. Anyhow, I'm glad it's working for you! It's not hard once you know what you're doing and get used to it.

Thanks karima, although I don't think the store has any decent toddler hair anyway. I'll take a look at peggy at the paid ones later and see if they are at the Booty.
