Installing cc for the sims3

Hi all!

, As you probably all know-cc for the sims3 now can go in your my documents folder! I have tried since last night to get the nondefault skintones to work and it's not showing up. Does anybody have an idea of how to get it to work. Do I need the resource part and do I need install framework? I thought I had it-but they aren't even showing up in the game. Neither is my pointy ear mod. I know that the nondefault skintone mod is updated for ambitions. Do I need the ddl installed?
I had found some non-default skintones last night at GOS for the sims3. But there is a mod that goes along with it and I thought I put it in the right folder and extracted the non-default skin thing. But it's not showing up in the game. Where do I put it exactly and how do I do it too? Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, Ashley, I cannot help you without more details. I have NO CLUE what you're even talking about. Also, I don't have any non-default skins in my game, so I haven't dealt with any, but I would imagine they go into your mods folder, just like any other cc.

If you give me links to what you are trying to install, I may be able to figure it out and help you, but usually the best way to figure out something is to ask the person who made it.

I think I figured it out.
I downloaded the framework thing-is that supposed to help with downloading for the sims3. It was made by Delphy at MTS2.com, I'm going to see if it worked! If not-do I need to do something like move the resource thing?

If you have CC in your game already, you don't need another resource file installed. I have to go bed now, but if it's not working, you need to give me MOAR INFO, or I can NOT help you! That's all there is to it.

I need a LINK to the content you're trying to install, so I can see the instructions in order to tell you what you should do. I can't be any clearer than I am being..lol.

Anyhow, good luck with it and if it still isn't working, give me more info and I'll check it out in the morning.

At first I was totally confused because there is NO MOD in that second link you gave me, but upon further reading, I notice the mod had been moved and is here:

Having JUST NOW woken up, with only two sips of coffed in me, I'm groggy and can't deal with with this at the moment, but I'll check back into later once I'm fully awake.
