I don't think you can do if from itunes, I may be wrong though. I know how to do it with an mp3 file though. You just delete the old music, copy the music you want from a folder, and paste it in the genres.

The only genre you can put your tunes into is the custom music folder in TS3. That is the only music folder we have. The rest of the genres are all hidden somewhere. I have put some of my music in the game and Sawyer is right about it not working from Itunes. Itunes sucks... big time! I stopped using it becacuse it now won't allow their songs to be converted into MP3's so that they can be used in the game. Anyway, the actual MP3's need to be saved on your computer. Then you open up your The Sims 3 folder located in your documents. Custom Music is the first folder in the list, unless you've changed it. Simply copy the MP3 files that you want and paste them into the Custom Music folder. Then when you are in the game, tune the stereo to custom music and you'll hear your songs. I HATE the way the music works in this game! It's barely audible from most locations for me. I have be zoomed in on a certain spot, or I can't hear it very well. Plus... the stupid sims keep changing the station..lol! I guess they put it on whatever is listed as their favorite music or something...lol. I need a 'no changing the station' hack for my game.

What?!? I haven't downloaded anything for quite a while and was just going to. Good to know, now I'll have to find a different site now.

Yep Sue! I used to love Itunes and used it all the time. Then one day, my daughter needed a song for a project she was doing at school. It was like an old slave song that I would not have been interested in for my musical enjoyment..lol Anyway, I found one on Itunes, paid my 99 cents, and downloaded it. When I burned it to a CD-RW and then tried to put into Windows Media Player, media player would not see it. Therefore I could not convert it into an MP3, which is what the program we were making her project on (It was pictures of the guy who wrote/performed the song with his song playing in the background) used. So.... I paid a buck for a song I didn't care about and couldn't use for the purpose I downloaded it. I ended up having to go purchase the song from somewhere else. That meant I actually paid double for something I didn't care about one bit! Damn Itunes! lol

Thanks for the tips! I didn't know how to put music in the game OR that Itunes didn't convert to MP3s anymore!

I don't know. It's not like you're stealing there music if you buy it and then convert to mp3 form so that you can use on other programs on your computer. It will burn to disc, so if I wanted to steal it, I could burn songs to discs, copty them, and then resale them to people anyway. It made me mad too, buecause I really liked Itunes and had gotten used to using it.

I don't know, I'd try it if I had a blank disc.

Well, all the cd's I uploaded into itunes should work, it's just the ones I bought that don't, right? I usually have the sound "off" in my game, but i thought i'd try to put some custom this time. However, if they are just going to keep changing the station I will play my ITunes in the background w/ sound in game muted...like I did before.

There may be 'no changing channels' hack out there somewhere. If I ever see one, I'm definitely grabbing it!
I did a google search and discoverd that there are some conversion programs that can convert MP4's into MP3's. I may just try one olf those one of these days...lol

Yeah, I already knew there were converters. My BIL is a computer guy and i usually ask him questions. However, he really isn't patient with my Sims questions
