It happened to me!

I am have been playing TS3 WA w/ this guy Henry Jones for fun. I haven't posted any Pic Spam, nothing, cause it was purely FUN.
Well, out of the blue I checked his Family tree today and THIS was the result:

Somehow, my Sim, who has no want for the ladies, had a child w/ some random old lady he met ONCE!

I don't know how this game cooks up the random stuff it throws out there, but I think they need to hire some new programmers!

It's a really stupid bug! I have read about people who have had teenagers show up as having had childrent as well. Names mysteriously change and your sims can spontaneously 'have children' with virtual strangers! The certainly do need to do something all that.

While they're at it, they must fix the random game shutdowns

Those don't happen to me. Maybe you have something running in the background that causes that. Sometimes a virus scanner or something can kick on for an update or a scan that will cause shutdowns on other programs.

Oops! I meant, he has plenty of ladies, why would he be w/ that old HAG!

;D I'm worried now, as I have just found,two more families with more than eight, after installing my saved folder back in,I did not realize that aging was on, & game progression(default settings!)so the game through me a spanner or two, first my family of eight, the teen son asked his girlfriend to move in with him! Now there is nine in that house, she was living across the road with her mother, her mother(WHO is older!) moved in with Toby Masterson,who lives in a very small starter! WTF??(this is the second time the game has broken a family up!)
~ The first thing I did was sort the houses out, I kicked people out, left, right & center,the game re-assigned them houses,with my Sims again,so that was a waste of time! I am still sorting that out! I am just about done & feed-up with this game,as it does irrational things, that do not make any sense!

Same thing with me, Holley. The stupid game said she had a daughter with some old geezer, and the daughter was a teen when I noticed her, but Nellie is still a YA. As far I know, she'd never even met the old Geezer either, and I had NEVER left her household to go play another, so that is not the reason it happened.

Karima... something is VERY messed up with your game! I think a reinstall would be worth a try, making sure to get ALL the patches. I think I read on one of the patch readme lists that one fixes a bug that allows more than eight on a lot. I think I saw that written somewhere anyhow.

Well I've installed the latest update, I guess it knows I only have the base game and don't need updates delaing with WA, right? Not that I trust EA to think of that.

So far everything seems ok. I hope that makes turning aging off work as I really want to go play the spares houses a little, just to set them up better.
