I noticed the lack of affordable starter homes in the neighborhood so i decided to build some. Here is a one bd/ba townhouse starter. www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=1017515some pictures: outside first floor second floor Can someone let me know how to get rid of those grid lines in Buy/Build to take pictures? Also, where is the house located in the Sims 3 file so i can upload it to megauploads? Also, how do I edit the pictures on the Sims 3 website? Like I said, it's not much, but like I said, I was trying to build a starter. edit: I forgot to give the stats. $15,852 furnished $14,742 unfurnished I am planning on doing this lot all done up too, I just thought people would like a "starter" version as well.

Nice, Holley! They never give you enough of these! I don't know if you can Mega upload houses/lots - I think they have to go to the Sims 3 Ex. I know you can download from the EX without putting them in your game, so you could Mega that from your desktop, but that's a lot of work!

That's a good idea. I might try that.

Nice house, Holley! Sure you can upload to other places without having to post it on the exchange. You do it just like if you were uploading to exchange, but when it says open the launcher to share, don't do that. You'll find your lot in the exports folder. I always take it out of there and put it on my desktop. Then I upload it to wherever from there. Also, just like in TS2, if you click the terrain tab as if you were going to paint some grass or something, the grid lines go away. I have no clue about editing pics on the exchange. I don't even know if you can do that.

Nice starter, and yes there are never enough of those. Do you find it hard to build in TS3? I have to turn it to night to see the lines properly. Although I am really thinking I need reading glasses lately. I can't even figure out how to put pictures in a story up on the exchange at all. I went to the area and it said drag the pics, but the only ones there were preset game ones and not any I had taken. Sorry diverting your thread.

I think the pictures you take in S3 have to be uploaded via the launcher, then from there you can put them in. I was going to try one with Lolita Goth, but I have too many other stories going on. I promised myself I had to finish Sealgaire first, then I can move on to S3 & the Goths. I do wish you could just place a darn lot where you want it. I hate there having to be an existing lot first. There's so much empty space that I'd love to plop these cool houses that everyone is building into.

Yep! You have to upload your pictures to the exchange before you can put them in the story organizer. What I hate about downloaded lots in TS3 is that when there is a driveway, it doesn't always line up evenly at the road, not even if you put it in the exact same spot it was built on. That is ridiculous, I tell you!

Also, just like in TS2, if you click the terrain tab as if you were going to paint some grass or something, the grid lines go away. I TRIED that and it didn't work...huh? Jo, it is a bit more difficult, but once I figured it out it turned out to be simpler in some ways. I LOVE thecustomizing feature! It makes it more fun because you don't have to search for "matching" things. I upload my pictures I took of my lot, but it wasn't giving me an option to change the lot pictures on the site. i guess it's no big deal.

I'm not sure, but I think you have to use SimPe to change the pic for the EX. I haven't used it yet, but I will for this next house I;m building. Also you can take pics of your build and put them through the launcher. Your home pics will show up in the magnify when somebody looks for it. Great house Holley!!! Tina is right. Thats how I do it.
