One of the things you gotta love about this game is the visual effects. Although a lot of the sims are not nearly as good-looking as those in The Sims 2, the scenery and effects are breath-taking.
Here's a couple of shots I captured at Old Pier Beach:
Notice the birds flying around? Yep, we have actual birds flying around in the sky now!
I hung around there a while until nightfall and this is what I saw:
The next afternoon, I was looking around while Sim Tina was at work and caught these shots of the sunset and moonrise:
That's right. There is only ONE moon in The Sims 3 instead of two like in The Sims 2. The sky actually moves! You can see the moon rising and the sun setting. The shadows move as the sun moves across the sky. It's pretty awesome-looking!
A nice daytime picture across town. The spotlights are coming from the stadium:
A shot of the moon rising above the waterfall:
A snap a couple of pictures of the Goth house:
Speaking of the Goths, I caught a picture of Bella sitting on the sidewalk in front of the Theater where Sim Tina works, doing her homework:
And one of Mortimer on his way home:
While I'm on the subject of kids, you may as well have a look at Malcom Landgraab at the park:
Sim Tina is working in the entertainment/music career and has the lifetime wish of being a great guitar player. Here she is coming out of the theater after work:
She went to Central Park, which is right across from the Theater to play her guitar:
While in the park, she met a fairly good-looking traffic cop. She enjoys romance, so she decided to become friends with him. Here they are at her house, watching TV together:
He is engaged to someone else, but Sim Tina is not letting that stop her. They are now very good friends and have a romantic interest in each other.
Well, that is almost it for now, except for one thing: one of the really cool things about this game is being able to take toddlers out and about. You see them in their parents' arms everywhere. This one was walking on the sidewalk in front of Sim Tina's house:
I don't really know what will happen, but maybe someday, Sim Tina and her handsome cop fellow will have a toddler or two of their own. ;D
