I fear looking for cc for just that reason. I need a school chalkboard and some medical supplies, and I ended up fudging them because I was afraid of coming off the sites with another 100 downloads. My poor laptop is tapped out as it is. After looking at my pics, I think I've had enough of the magical sparkles on the witches - I may have to go get that hack that gets rid of them, but the same fear stopped me. Isn't there a spell they can work that gets rid of those?

The only non hack way to get rid of sparkles is to get them to study the other way. As soon as they drop down a notch it will disappear along with the skin. Otherwise there is hack I think it's at MTS.

Maybe I'll just do the study thing - I don't trust myself at MTS - especially now that I can get back on there! Lol!

I have the hack that keeps the sparkles away from the witches. The funny thing is, I've never even played with witches yet.

MTS banned a group of IP numbers and Jill's was in that range. Since then, she got a new ISP, so her IP number changed and she can get back on from home now.

I thought of getting rid of TS2 but when I thought of all the time I invested in getting CC, I just couldn't. And now I have a whooping 11 000 files and some (probably 10 000) of which I don't even use. I tried using Delphy's tool to get rid of some, but when it came to crunch time, I just couldn't let go. Yeah, I know I'm hoarder ;D

Sorry Jo, I only just found this thread and I only play TS2!

I'm not too bad with CC, I only download hair colours I need, so have no red or blonde in my game. The thing with me is the clothes for my girly sims. Pretty much all of Penny's stuff recently has been CC, and Bandura's too for that matter. But yay for pretty stuff! ;D

Well I have TS3, but hardly play it. The movement across town just isn't good for my condition. I get sick of shutting my eyes all the time.

Well what with the mess up I did on Saturday I now have about 16,000 files sitting in there until I can get rid of all the copies. It still loads in about the same amount of time, so at least I know I haven't overloaded it even now The biggest pain with having so much cc is finding stuff when I am playing!

Lol Val, I didn't know you were thinking of dumping TS2, you must really love TS 3 then.

If I didn't have a current S2 story going on, I don't know if I'd open the game again. I love S2, it's mostly just the load times that keep me out. I like the S2 sims much better, but the S3 sims are definitely improving. Especially with the foreign additions. The S2 cc is out of sight (which is why my load times are so obscene!) But as far as gameplay, Since the WA EP, S# is my 1st love!

The recolor option makes cc less needed, but they just came out with a new bunch of sets that are catching my eye - the 50's and the fairy fantasy set among them.

It takes mine between 12-15 minutes to load which I don't mind too much. I just go do some housework like the washing up while it loads, which means something gets done and I don't feel guilty about playing! So I see the load time as good. Same thing if I send them to a community lot, I go and do a bit of housework or check up on what my kids are doing.

Well, I went looking for that chalkboard & the witch/sparkle hack. A few hours and a desktop full of downloads later, I realize what I've done.
