I've started a serious story now, where I am PROMISING to post chapters.
It's a victorian legacy.

Anyway, since I haven't played Sims 2 basically AT ALL, since getting my new computer, I have the screen resolution settings all weird.

Does anybody know what I need to set it for for my 21 1/2 inch, 1980 or something pixel monitor? It's probably the same setting you have your's for, Tina, or one smaller.

When I had a 20 inch monitor, my settings were 1440x990. Now, with my 24 inch monitor, they are set to 1920x1200. Doesn't your paper work that came with your monitor say what the resolution should be.

Anyhow, once in the game, you need to pick what works best for you because one of the above settings isn't available inside the game, but I can't remember which one.

The normal one I pick for in the game is that 1920 or something, and it's not in there.

I don't have a 1920x1200 choice either, so I think you're remembering incorrectly. What I did was try different ones until it looked right. I could open my game and tell you what I am using, but it's too early and I don't feel like it right now...lol
