Zodiac Signs and Compatability

This is probably old news to most of you, but I thought maybe some would find it helpful. I'm having a problem with a married couple in my hood, and it reminded me that I always meant to write this down, but never got around to it. I took a quick trip to the evil land of BBS, and found this...I hope it does someone some good! ;D

Subject: Power Zodiac Compatibility Combinations


I was just looking through the zodiac compatibility chart at Snooty Sims (http://snootysims.com/infoindex.php?id=zodiac) and wanted to share my findings here on the boards.
Mutual Compatibility

These Zodiac pairs are mutually attracted. When you're building a Sim couple from scratch, or when you're adding a pet to the family, this bodes well for a smooth and happy relationship.

Aries & Taurus

Gemini & Pisces

Scorpio & Pisces

Capricorn & Aquarius

Mutual Repulsion

These Zodiac pairs are repulsed by each other. Expect angry room mates, runaway pets, and rocky marriages.

Gemini vs Capricorn

Leo vs Capricorn

Libra vs Scorpio

Taurus vs Virgo

Unrequited Love

In these Zodiac combinations, one member is attracted, and the other is repulsed: a recipe for heart break.

Aries likes Gemini, Gemini hates Aries

Cancer likes Taurus, Taurus hates Cancer

Virgo likes Aquarius, Aquarius hates Cancer

Extreme Zodiac Signs

Most Zodiac signs are attractive to two other signs and repulsive to two other signs. These are the notable exceptions.

Most Hated: Leo, Aries -- each hated by 3 other signs

Most Loved: Sagittarius -- loved by 3 other signs

Least Hated: Taurus -- only repels one sign

Least Loved: Aries -- only loved by one other sign

How can I apply this information?

Is your child aging up to a teen> If their zodiac sign is one of the most loved, you might want to consider a romance or popularity aspiration, but if your poor child is an Aries, they might be safest with an aspiration (and career choice) that doesn't require making a lot of friends.

Do you have an adult Sim who is unlovable but needs friends to advance at work? Try adding a loveable Sim to their household to make friends for them.

Buying a pet? You can increase the odds of the pet making friends with another pet you want to breed it with. You can also choose a Zodiac sign that will make it easiest for your pet and its owner to make fast friends.

Building Sim families in CAS? You can influence how the household relationships work, or don't work, based on the relative compatibility of the signs you choose.

Hey, thanks for posting this, Jilly! Only... I have never paid much attention to the zodiac signs in the game for some reason..lol. I don't where EAxis came up with all that stuff, but it is totally wrong compared to the RL compatibility of the signs. lol

I've read this before, but it always confuses me for some reason. Maybe that's why I never paid much attention to it before.

I'm printing one, too. It makes me mad that this married couple has more bolts for others than for each other. I like randomness, but in this case, I really wanted them to be compatible. I can tweak their likes, etc, to bring the compatability up, (and I will) but it just burns me. The wife is a knowledge sim, and she loves her hubby, and autonomously hugs, kisses, etc him, but they only have 1 bolt for each other. The she heart farts just about every guys she sees, and the bolts just fly.

I have been with a Cancer for 17yrs & I am a Scorpio!
Go figure? Many yummy's envolved in that subject!!! ;D

What I did notice, is you never had a combo of Scorpio & Cancer!

Oh, by the way Scorpio & Pisces, are fun while it lasts, but the scorpio always stings a Pisces! It's called food! Yummy! Well know my belly is full!

Well I married a Pisces, who doesn't act like a water sign. Pisces in RL, and those signs are worth Poo!

You could change the aspiration of one of them with the orb.

Is the orb an object, or that potion - renu something? I don't have SimPE, and I'd sure like to fix them!

The orb is an aspiration reward object that came with OFB. It's the one where if you use it with low aspiration, you will turn into a grilled cheese sim.

Jilly, do you remember where I changed Ashley into a grilled cheese sim? That is the orb. If you use it while gold you get to choose which aspiration you want the sim to be, but if you are green or red big chance they will be grilled cheese. You can cheat to get the orb and cheat to get a red aspiration. I just stick help in the cheat box and scroll through till I find what cheat I want.

I could not do without my elixer!
The only rewards I constantly use now are elixer, smart milk and thinking caps. The rest mostly seem like a waste. Although I did use social glasses for Luigi and Angels LTW in college. I was reading there good to use on the wolf leader if you are trying to get a ware wolf.
