Okay, I have a question... Do you have any teens who have the option to 'slide down' when you click on the bannister of a staircase? I have been playing the Newson Family today. They are the six orphaned kids who came with Apartment Life. Talk about a bit of a challenge! I put them in a three bedroom, one bathroom apartment. For a while, it was tough because I didn't hire them a nanny since they didn't have jobs, so I alternated letting the girl and then the boy stay home from school to take care of the twin toddlers. But then I got them after school jobs and since they had over 18,000 simoleans, I let them get a nanny. Now the toddlers have just grown into kids. It's very.. different playing this family. Anyway, I digress... The thing is, I just saw, for the first time, a teen slide down a bannister. There is a spiral staircase in the apartment. But... the girl has an option to 'slide down' when I click on the stairs, but the boy does not. Is that normal? Why would ONE teen have an option to slide when the other one doesn't? I'm just wondering if that is normal, or is it some sort of stupid glitch?

:DI am having fun with the Newsons & wonder how I made it till now with one bathroom? the twins are just about to turn to teens as they are friends with the two eldest children in my 'Creation lot'! I have a spiral stair case on that lot(Newsons!) & opals lot with her opal clone mother, so far I have clicked on stairs but nothing comes up! I think it is an option like play with bath you have to be a certain personality or starsign for it to be an option for your playable Sims! as the Newsons have many friends,Opal being one of them, I have seen teens do it over & over again, but none so far are playables!(the Newsons have between ten & twelve peeps in the house most days!they are all bringing friends home all the time, One toilet????I just extended there house as the elest three are working, One stays to look after the twins!)so I was wondering the same thing about the stairs?

Maybe I am mistaking but perhaps it's the same thing about the staircase and the fridge doors. Some sims (playful ones) can play on the fridge doors. I didn't know some sims couldn't slide down the stairs though because I only tried it once or twice and all kids had the option.

???I have no idea? as I have five teen sims in my 'Challenge Hood' & none with that option even though I have seen their friends do it over & over again!Soon I will have three more(it is a matter of Sim hours!)but one of those are in my 'Creation lot', so there for can not have a spiral staircase! I think you maybe right though!

I didn't know they could do it on the spiral stairs - I thought it was just on the double staircase that came with M&G. I know the interaction came with one of the packs - I want to say M&G, but I'm not certain.

Well now that is strange that my Ginger Newson has the option to slide down, but yours doesn't, Karima. And, Mae, you say most of your kids have the option to slide down? I'll tell ya what... this game needs a final patch, for sure, that it's likely never going to get. Also in my Newson house, leftovers are screwed up. They can put leftovers in the fridge and the option to get them is there for a while, but then it disappears. There are a few weird glitches in this game for sure. Man, it IS wild playing this large family with only ONE bathroom! It takes a bit of planning ahead... lol Check it out. Here they all are watching TV, along with a walkby they invited in.

I'll tell you what... they are interesting to play. They come with enough money to move into a medium-priced apartment, furnished. It's a bit of a challenge. I get bored playing it easy all the time. The oldest boy and girl both have enough skill points now for scholarships for college, so I think when they are almost adults, I'm going to send them to college because the older kids will be teens and can take care of the little ones. I wasn't going to send them to college unless they could get scholarships because how would kids be able to pay for college otherwise? lol I'm really enjoying playing them. Figuring out the bathroom schedule with all those sims in the same apartment with ONE bathroom is pretty darned challenge in itself without even including all the other things a bunch of kids on their own are facing!

;)OK! TRY TWO! I had the same problems with the Sims, even though I have all patches installed!I find the new fridge is the problem as it was deleting leftover food as they withdrew it from the fridge, plants they would not harvest, compost or water as they were not physicaly there but you could see them!I was blaming all this on my PC being screwy at the time,Tina I have not tried Ginger on the stairs since my PC fix, she probably can now! Also your Sims are diffrent from mine as I am using default skins & all my Maxis Sims are better to look at!(that includes townies & NPCs!)I did not even know what they originaly looked like! so thanks for the pics! The first thing I installed was the default skins! I know it was hard with one bathroom,so as soon as they had earned enough I built them a half bathroom, they were living in a very small two bedroom house converted to four small bedrooms out of the two, like sardines all in a row, the twins only had a nanny for one day as she could not or would not look after them & when the others arrived home from school the twins were both tired to red, smelly & hungry, the twins never had a nanny again!what is the use of getting a nanny if they can't cope! :-Xl

Would a default skin change their personality?

Karima, you STILL don't know what they originally looked like because I also default replacement skins! Yea, Jill, they only change the way the sims look. Also, I tried changing the fridge in their apartment and I got the same dumb results with the leftovers. I think it's only on their lot, though, because it isn't happening on other lots. I can't add a bathroom because my family is living in an apartment. Ah, come on Jill, grow a pair and do it the hard way! It's fun!

;)So, Tina some realy nice person out there is going to put pics up so we can both see what they look like! :-*I know it is the fridge because it was a new toy, which of course I installed in all my lots as it has nice matching things that come with it! I have had to replace them all as the leftovers keep disappearing as they take them out! (I used it with the Newsons,Creation lot & my new Itsy bitsy lots, same resaults in all of them!) Holly, you are asking for trouble with that combo!
