Ok...  ... I can never remember, what is the difference between calling a Taxi versus calling transportation? i know one allows you to take other family remebers with you... i hate that there are two options. |

Maybe I am mistaken, I only walk to lots now or take the family's car. But I think transportation allows you to invite another sim (not a family member). If it's not the transportation then it's the taxi but I know one of them allows you to invite a friend.

I haven't actually called a taxi/transportation in a while either, but I do believe it is the transportation option which allows the invitation of another sim. It's the one that's been there since the base game. I think 'call taxi' appeared with nightlife.

I use the "walk to" option as well, but if i want to invite a Sim to go with me I can never remember which option it is. Now I just use my cell phone and call them when I get to the lot. It makes it easier. That is the only way to go to a community lot with a roomate in a Dorm as well.

Transportation, I'm sure of it, but you know you can also call a sim and invite them to a lot, and they will meet you there. If it's people in your house, they'll have the option to come along regardless if it's a taxi or transpo... (I believe).

If you have nightlife, you can also use the manage groups option on the phone. If you form groups, you can invite them to community lots just for fun. |

Yeah I need to look into that "groups" thing. i used it a lot when nightlife first came out...

Yea I did too, but I seem to have 'lost it' along the way.  I don't use it much anymore, but then again I haven't actually just 'played' the game much either. I think we sometimes tend to sort of forget about some of the older features as new ones come out that we like to experiment with. |
