OMG! I just discovered I can frame pictures my Sims paint on the Easel. I have no idea what EP it came with, but I can so STOKED! I have been adding pictures to my EA Games>The Sims 2>Paintings file all day. I think with the EP FT you can make "custom paintings" Just put a picture in the above file (size limit is 300x400). So i have been on this web site... www.art.com/asp/default-asp/_/posters.htm?%20&ui=B3BF970A5C9A4BD09D8045985EDE982FThis is a GREAT new design option. You can pretty much have whatever picture in your house now.

Oh yea... I've been using the custom paintings feature since Pets came out. I have all sorts of wild art that my sims can paint. I love it! The painting framing option actually came with Freetime. I was very thrilled about that, I have to say! I've always thought it was ridiculous that you could paint a portrait and hang it on the wall, but you couldn't frame it. I've been framing mine for a long time too because I downloaded some frames for painted portraits. At least EA does listen sometimes and give us what we want..lol

Hey Jo, all you do is put them inside your paintings folder that you will find inside your Sims 2 folder. I can't quite remember what the size limit is on the pics, but make sure they are in jpg format because bitmaps will not show up in the game. I had to convert quite a few of mine to jpg so I found out the hard way...lol. Not sure if other formats work, but bitmaps sure don't...lol It's really easy and it's awesome to be able to have a pic of whatever you want in your game. My sims can even paint a portrait of their goddess... me!

I mentioned in the first post the size limit of the picture should be 300x400.
I figured the option came with either FT or AL. I discovered it by accident yesterday. It is actually going to be great. I have a Sim in Uni who is an Arts and Crafts ethusiast. I have been saving every picture she paints in her inventory. She will be opening a Home Gallery when she graduates to sell her pictures.

LOL@Mae! Oh yea... several of my sims have Darren hanging on the walls! Actually Holley, the size can be bigger than that, but they only show up a certain size in the game no matter what size they actually are. One of the ones that EA put in there is 861x768. Quite a few of mine are bigger too. The main thing to remember is that they need to be taller than they are wide, of course.

I know you put them in there...but how? (humor the computer dummy) Do I save to photobucket? Do I somehow drag the picture? Like how do I get it off that page and into the folder?

LOL! Sorry Jo... You save the picture to your computer just like with any other download or picture. Then you drag/cut/copy/paste (whichever you choose) the picture into that paintings folder. It's just like installing something into your downloads folder. All you do is put the picture in and then you will have the option to paint it when you choose 'paint custom portrait' in the game. Photobucket has nothing to do with it.

Oh, I remember the old days where instead of editing a cover, I would put it as a painting and take a picture of it!
