So I found some patterns on MTS3 that I liked. It said to put the extracted files in Mods/Packages. So i created those folders. Is that right?

It depends on where you created those folders at.

I downloaded them from MTS3, then I extracted them to my Desktop.

I was talking about the folders you created...lol, not the files you downloaded. Where did you put your Mods/Packages folder?

*sigh* Which one? lol I cannot tell you if you did it right, if you don't tell me the path of the folder you put it in. There are TWO sims three folders. One in your documents and one in your program files. The mods/pacakages folder goes into the one in your programs. If that is where you put it, then you did it correctly.

Ok! thanks Tina. I only created the Mods/Packages file. I was waiting to make sure I did it right. So it goes into Programs, not Documents. Is a CC going to be difficult like this? Some goes here, some goes there... BTW if i would have read MYS3 more closely I wouldn't have had to ask this question Sorry...i guess the bunny is going to have to hit its head again because of me.

Poor bunny! Also, make sure you put the cfg.resource file in there or nothing will work! MTS has a link posted to one you can download. CC is VERY aggravating with this game! It's like EAxis wanted us to not have any at all. Right now, the modders are having a hella time trying to figure out how to create new meshes, etc. So far, I just read last night, that the only two custom hairs that have been made have to overwrite original EAxis hair in order to work. Any time you download CC in sims3pack form, you just double click and it will install with the launcher. Your Downloads folder's ONLY use is for downloading from the Exhange, or The Sims 3 Store. From there, it goes into your DCCache folder when it installs, never to be seen again, except in the launcher. Yet, copies of the crap STILL remain in your downloads folder, needlessly taking up hard drive space. It's a good idea to go ahead delete those files, or save them somewhere else for the future if you like to save those things. Also, the DCBackup folder does the same thing and those files in there can also safely go bye-bye. Anything you download from MTS, or any other site that it is .package form, goes into your Mods/Packages folder in your program files. You can make at least four sub folders for your stuff. If the download helper monkey can do it, so can I! I have no clue if it will work for more than the amount of folders the monkey makes for you because I haven't tried it yet and... there isn't that much different kinds of content out there yet. Mine has three sub folders, Hacks, Skins, and Patterns. You can also have a Misc folder, but I don't have any miscellaneous items yet, so I didn't bother to put one in.

There goes that bunny again! Right on MTS, there is a link that talks about TS3 downloads and how to handle them. Go here: nene.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Sims_3:Installing_Package_FilesREAD! lol There is a link to the file you want in the 'Summary' section of the page. I can't just link you to the file download because the link brings up a download box. Read carefully, it tells you where to put the file. It's basically telling you to put the file in your sims 3 folder in your program files. EDIT: LOL@Genius! Yah, right. It doesn't take a genius to just hang around a place, look around, explore, and get used to it...lol. It DOES almost take a genius to understand some of that stuff they talk about over there. Some of it makes my eyes cross and gives me a freakin' headache!

You're welcome! One thing to remember: CC installed this way, will NOT have the CC star on it, so it will blend in with EAxis content. You just have to look harder to see it.
