Is it safe to download occupied houses? Or objects or things? I clicked on 0 occupants and got back 0 downloads.

Well, I haven't done it yet because I decided to play around and learn the game before downloading things, but JMP says it's safe to download occupied houses and move sims between hoods, etc because the sims in this game have no memories like the sims in the sims 2 did. The memories were the culprit in causing all those problems before.

I thought I had heard that, like to be sure though, thanks Tina. Didn't you say to use boxnet for simselves though? Or is that to do with culling?

No, it's not for culling because we actually get 1gb of space on the sims 3 site. The reason for that is that JMP says there's something wonky about the way sims packaged in sims3pack form are handled by the game. I can't remember exactly what, but everyone who shares their simselves there does it that way. JMP says he won't accept any in sims3pack form.
I need to get over there and see if I can find exactly what he said about that now.

Well I wonder if that applies to sims that come in houses. I don't know why people want to upload sims in houses. I go to the lot section for a lot. not sims that I have no use for.

I do upload sims with lots (from ts2) occasionally... I just usually make them have a surprise or something. Like I get them pregnant, and then ctrl shift c forcetwins.....xD I'm evil like that. Oh, and in the sims 3....my legacy founder just had triplets....on the third pregnancy.

Sawyer you must never add TS2 sims that come in a house to your game it can cause very bad things to happen. So my advice, don't do it to someone else either. If they are smart they will use clean installer and choose lot only Those sims have memories they bring with them, dangling bits of badness is a catch phrase on BP. Those memories can cause serious glitches and game explosion melt down.

Oh yeah.... that is a BIG no-no! Doing so can definitely cause problems in TS2! It has to do with sim memories that are invisibly left behind and it leaves broken files in your game that can cause your neighborhood to crash and burn down the road.
It's totally different with TS3, though. There are no memories to cause such things to happen, as far as I know so far.

I still wonder if it's a good idea to bring sims over in occupied houses, because isn't that using what MATY said not to?

Not with this game. That was with TS2 because of having memories, etc. They don't have memories in this game, so I don't think it matters the way it did in The Sims 2. Maybe EAxis learned something from their mistake the first time.

I know there isn't the memories, I was referring to this- If we download occupied lots aren't we installing sims in sim3pack form?
