Seeing my sim Crazy Loon, lol yes that is her name. Was 10 days to elder promted me to google. Maybe everyone else already knows this, but I'll post just in case. How to stop the aging of your Sims: In the game’s main options menu, go into “Game Options”, then look under “Options” for the option to toggle aging on or off. No cheat codes needed, easy does it! Some other interesting bits here: www.videogamesblogger.com/2009/05/31/the-sims-3-cheats-codes-and-tips-guide.htm

I turned mine off in options, Q: it turns everyones aging off or just your house, so far it seems everyones aging is off in the whole hood!

It turns EVERYONE's aging off, Karima. That's sort of what sucks about it. I think it should be so that you have the options to turn just your house off, everyone's off, or just certain families' off.
That's why I like the SLOW aging option better. My sim is set to live for 960 days. She started out as a young adult, I've been playing for a few weeks, and my sim still has about 64 sim days before she's due to become an adult. ;D

What I want is the ability to make them younger! I would've loved to age the Goth's back down to adult and play them more! Sims 2 let you do that. I miss boolProp!

Well even if you turn aging off, you can select playables to age by the birthday cake. I have set mine to aging on with the longest life possible now. We'll see how it goes. Trouble with playing a house with a few sims in (I checked out one of the pre mades yesterday) is it jumps you all over the screen and you have to keep track of them all. One pumping iron at the gym, another going to logic class, one on the swings and the couple at home trying to get them to have a baby. I can't remember their name, but he wants 5 kids and his wife, well she wouldn't try for one lol. She seems rather a tarter and doesn't even have a relationship with her own daughter who is an 'acquaintance"

You get used to all 'jumping' though. Heck, once I send one of mine somewhere, I don't worry about them for a while. Sims in this game take better care of themselves than in the sims 2. I want all those 'townie' sims to go ahead and age up instead of remaining the same forever. That's why I wouldn't play with aging off unless they change it so you could let them do their thing, while certain other families you pick stay the same unless you're telling them to do something different. I have actually felt, sometimes, that playing The Sims 2 is hard work instead of play because I like to keep my hood in sync and when there are a lot of families in the hood, it gets sort of monotonous to me sometimes.

Well that can be true too. But I wouldn't say want my spares in TS2 to go off and change jobs, have a baby etc. Angel with a baby? that would sure muck things up. I have to close my eyes when I jump from the ones at home to the ones at the park. That's why they have a sezure warning on it. TS2 never bothered me, but I think if I watched all the jumping for hours straight on TS3...well I don't want to test my seizure meds out on it, that's for sure.

Eek, that doesn't sound too good! :[ Maybe there'll be a hack that you can turn that off or something? Who knows?

I doubt it Sawyer, it's part of the game that you can follow everyone. Either I will have to make myself not follow them which is hard because I want too, or I close my eyes and not play too long. Once the newness wears off I probably won't play it so much, I'm still a TS2 fan girl.
