 Wow! That IS disturbing! What I'm wondering is what did that person do wrong for that to happen?  Something most definitely went horribly wrong there.  I have a backup of my entire computer and am going to update it before I install the game when I get it. So.... if that happens to me, I won't be actually losing anything. I'll be able to restore from my backup. ETA: OMG! A SimGuru has already taken that down!  The replaced it with a glitch pic!  For all who missed it, what used to be there was a little two-frame story telling how someone lost ALL their files when the installed The Sims 3. He/she had to recover his/her computer. From Dramonflyish: My Story THANKS TO THAT SIMS 3 GAME IV'E LOST ALL MY FILES AND EVRYTHING! I installed it, turned off the computer and then the next day when i tried to go on i couldn't so I had to reset my computer ! AND I LOST ALL MY PRECIOUS FILES! I HOPE THE SIMS 3 CREATORS READ THIS AND SEE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE! I LOST ALL MY PICTURES OF MY GLORIOUS MEMORIES, I HAD TO REINSTALL EVERYTHING AND I LOST ALL MY IMPORTANT WORD DOCUMENTS :@! So I would like to thank the creators of the Sims 3 for doing this! I hope you feel happy!

Well that sucks! They suck! How dare they take that down, what kinda LaLa Land are they living in where their product doesn't have faults. I hope they find a way to help poor Dramonflyish. Ugh! It's just like the sims 2, when something went wrong they refused to fix it...FREAKS!!!

That's sad, which is why the first thing I do with my new computer is install the Sims 3. Just to make sure that it won't crash, and I'll lose something!

Well, I've come to the conclusion that losing all his/her files had nothing to do with The Sims 3 installation. That person must have done something to cause it to happen.
