As these two weren't in my challenge house, I realized they had absolutely no skills whatsoever! This made for some pretty bored sims!
So after realizing they didn't have a shot at LTW's until they sat in for some boring skilling sessions, they had an idea.
"Let's get out of here, mate, before she has us sitting around with our noses stuck in books all day!"
"You said it! Where to?"
"I hear tell of a homeless hottie in France. I think we should go find him and bring him home!"
"Sometimes, I really hate being a simself. But hey, it beats skilling! Let's go!"
So they did.
As soon as they got to France, they began to ask around for the elusive Napoleon, who will be called Leon, because I refuse to type that long name!
"Excuse us, ma'am. I wonder if you happen to know..."
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!" *twilight zone music, psycho musci, Friday the 13th music, your choice.
As they ran screaming from Edith, lest her ugliness becomes contagious, they took shelter in the general merchant's store. He agreed to hide them, as long as they went on a quest for his gnome, er, for him.
"The gnome commands it..."
"I think you got your bell rung there, mate!"
The ladies race to the Celtic Ruins to retriece a prized posession. (yeah, we all know it's a freaking baseball by now, but Jo doesn't have WA, so don't spoil the surprise for her! Shhh!)
While Sue broke rocks, Jo moved statues and found coins and a heart keystone.
The keystone opens a locked door, which leads to...
"Honestly. What do you people see in this expansion? Dead things lying about...it's just wrong!"
"What are you complaining about? I got stuck with rock-busting detail!"
The girls worked together WITHOUT COMPLAINING, and moved quickly thru the tomb.
(do NOT make me get Edith! I'll do it! I swear I will!)
"We're working! We're happy little tomb raiders!"
"Crikey, there's no need for threats!"
"Edith? Are you in there?"
"It's only bugs, it's only bugs, it's only bugs..."
"World Adventures. Explain to me how this is fun for you."
Well, Sue had fun, but since Jo was not loving the tombs, I decided to give in to her want panel and send her to the Nectorary.
She bought some lovely bottles of nector, and I decided to jump start her skilling by having her harvest the rare grapes there, even though she couldn't plant them yet due to lack of skill.
The whole trip, they didn't meet a single, single man, but most of all, they didn't meet Leon. (and I checked every freaking house!)
When they got home, they had a surprise waiting there!
"Leon! What are you doing here?"
"Well, since you couldn't find me on your own, She had Tina ring me up and invite me to stay. Once I was there, she bool-proped me to add me to the active household. Then, she split the household, putting me on the clip board. Finally, she took me from the clip board and added me to your household."
"Do the French have a term for 'too much information'? "
So we started the make-over process by cutting that hair. Leon will probably undergo a few of these make-overs.
Hey! Should I make it a contest? Since we aren't having one for Tina, should we have a make-over contest for Leon? I can upload him? What do you think?
"And where's MY man? I busted up all those rocks and I don't even get a man?"
Well, in their travels around town, they met no one. In France, not one guy they met was single. So I admit, I got lazy.. I did they cheater's boolprop thing again, and forced visitor.
Meet Adian Jones. They hit it off right away, which thrilled my socks off! Woot! No more searching for single guys!
And I caught this nice police officer doing a 'drive-by'. It's none other than Sherman, Sawyer's squeeze! Looking good, Sherman! Fight the fat!
OK, the fun was handled, the love lives were handled, so...on to the skilling.
I sent Jo to the bookstore to pick up the needed books,
And sent Sue to the Science Center for a logic class. This will help her with her LTW of being a world chess champion.
And Jo got started on her LTW of reaching level 10 in gardening.
Now for the boring stuff...Hey, I tried to make the skilling as fun as I could, but sometimes ya gotta sit and read the books, guys!
Sue doesn't like to use the chess table in the yard, but she loves playing chess on line, her cowplant by her side.
Jo thought she could just watch the gardening chanel for a bit, but her way cool retro TV doesn't get that channel!
Luckily, Leon comes fully maxed out in the handyman skill, and was able to upgrade the TV for more channels! Yay, Leon!
He also has a green thumb, so he and Jo chat about gardening...A LOT.
Sue decided if those two were going to stand around talking, someone ought to get some cooking skills in, so she tried her hand at waffles.
With great results! Looks like we have an offical cook in the house!
Leon and Jo work side by side in the garden. Her skills have increased, so she can plant more things now. Leon goes behind her, upgrading the sprinklers to self-watering. (I love having a handyman around the house!)
Sue was busy gaining logic points with the telescope, and got an opportunity to search the galaxy & report her findings.
She discovered a new star! (I know I have Jo's panels up, but it was Sue's discovery, as you can read)
So that's it for now. I need to bring Aiden around a bit more, but I got wrapped up in the skilling. I'll do better, Sue.
And let me know what you guys think of a make-over contest for Leon!
