Well Tina you know how to guilt a girl...So here's something I wrote a long time ago...I haven't written poetry in a long time cos I've been so obsessed with The Sims2



Crazy Girl

She dances
To the voices in her head
To the whispers that she only hears
To the song, playing somewhere
Within her heart perhaps
Or is it in her soul?

Still she dances
On the busy road
Throngs of people pass her
A few stop to stare
Most look away embarrassed
As she lifts up her dress
Exposing the sordid underwear
Underneath

Some laugh at her
Others say she’s crazy
Still she dances
To the demons within her
She rages on
Like a wild fire, spreading
Engulfing everything in its wake

I stare at her
Mesmerized
Envying her freedom
To be who she wants
At any given time...and place

She dances
Oblivious to the stir she causes

Wow, I like it! Thanks for sharing that Valpre. I'm at a loss to find the exact words to describe how it made me feel, but it was very moving and maybe symbolic of the 'innerself' we all have within us that would love to be set free.

Ya gotta give us a bit of time here, Valpre. Some of us are pretty slow to actually read and comment on people's writings. Sometimes even I miss posts for longer than I think I should. The forum has gotten a bit busier and I'm VERY delighted about that.

It's not quite as active as it could be, but it's more active than I expected it to be this early on. More folks are beginning to post more and that's a good thing. Thanks again for posting this here.
