For One Last Time
to lil Iverson. You know who you are.

For one last time,
will I see your sweet face,
play ball on the court,
or run around playing chase.

For one last time,
will I watch you play,
knowing the time
would soon fade away.

For one last time
will I tickle your sides,
while you run away
for a place to hide.

For one last time
will I tuck you in at night,
hugging you tightly,
with all of my might.

For one last time
will I hear the sound
of your silly little giggle
when you're around.

For one last time
will you dance once more,
moving like
you've never before.

May I take this moment
to remember you,
and all the fun things
we used to do.

For one last time
may I tell you,
I miss you,
and I'll always love you.

I wrote it for a little boy I used to work with when he left the program I worked for. He was so sweet.
