I have decided to not do anything at all that I don't want to do and to do everything I can that I DO want to do and coming here to say hello to all my wonderful forum members/friends was at the top of that 'want to do' list!
Hi Everyone! I have two main points to get across right now and here they are:
1. You guys are truly awesome! I love and miss you all, and it is heartwarming beyond words to see all of you have been here posting away, and to see quite a few new members here actively posting as well. I want to offer a heart-felt, warm welcome to all of you who I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. Glad to see you here!
2. I am a frazzled, confuzzled, befuddled, hot mess at the moment.
LOL....
I refuse to go into a ton of boring detail about the happenings in life in recent times, because most of you know the basics, but I will give a brief update that may explain why I have not been a constant staple around here the way I once was.
I have been very busy with the holiday hoopla, etc. For the first time in several years, I actually invited my family for Christmas Eve dinner. I had TEN people at my table this year and my house isn't all that big...lol.
My mom has lung cancer and I have been having to take her to numeous doctor visits as well as to chemotherapy treatments once every three weeks. Also, as a lot of you know, I have my own health issues, doctors, etc to juggle as well.
Another thing that has divided my attention is the fact that my first-born daughter knocked me for a loop when she showed me the engagement ring on her finger!
The guy she is dating is nice enough, but it happens to be her VERY FIRST boyfriend and she has not been dating him for even a year yet, so although he is a nice enough fellow, I am quite concerned as to what will happen with her situation. 
I feel guilty as hell for not being around here more and that I have missed out on greeting so many new members, as well as falling horribly behind on reading your wonderful stories. The longer I am away, the more I am missing, and the further I am falling behind, not to mention the way I have left those of you hanging who were reading my story, which makes me feel even more overwhelmed.
I am hoping that things settle down for me soon so that I can hang out here more often again. It really sucks for me to not even feel like getting on the computer when I have a free moment because I am so tired and frazzled.
One good thing has come from it though... my house is cleaner that it has ever been....lol!
Oh yeah.... in the midst of all of the above, after spending a nice chunk of my life savings on Christmas gifts, my car broke! Turned out to be a better deal to buy a new one rather than have my 2003 Ford Expedition fixed... again. So I am now the proud owner of a 2011 Ford Escape and I actually love it! ;D (even though having a car payment sucks...lol)
Now look at that! I said I wasn't going to ramble on, but I did it anyway.
Ah well, what can I say? It IS my birthday after all!
Once again, please remember that even if I am not here, I am thinking of this place and I am so grateful to all you awesome members who keep this place alive and kicking and to my wonderful Mods, Jill and Jo, who are doing an awesome job watching out for the place while I am not around.
I hope you all had a great holiday season and that this new year brings nothing but great and wonderful things into your lives!
